There's a comic that specifically notes Opal City was settled by Puritans?

Yeah. The Ghost Pirate's son was a Puritan and helped settle the place before being murdered by devil worshiping *****e nozzles. Robinson built that city from the ground up. It was just as much a character in Starman as.....well....Starman.

According to Dan Didio

Potential Whereabouts

Comiccritics had a funny comic about the issue as well, but it contains vulgarity, so you'll just have to take my word for it.

Hope that helps.

More in response to the first link than the second link, but I find that first response to be grossly insufficient for erasing an entire character from the universe while other, lesser characters continue to appear.

I thought Metropolis was a midwestern city, like Chicago. Isn't Smallville, KA only like a few hours' drive from it?

Only in the TV show. Most versions in the comics have Superman taking a train or very long car rides when he doesn't just fly.

Metropolis is apparently in Delaware, which I guess, relatively speaking, is only a few hours away from Smallville, Kansas.

It would be about 23 hours away from Smallville by car.

The first one is obviously a ******** answer.

Which means one of two things:

They are bringing Wally back in his original form like the second link suggests.

Or, they just want people to **** about Wally already and move on.

I did say relatively.

I'd have to agree that it feels like they're just delivering platitudes to ease any potential ire and placate our need for answers.

I'm sure Wally will be back some day. I'd just rather it be now than some unidentified time in the future.

Ah, thank you. That'd be the one.

I find it funny because it's - in all likeliness - true.

Did anyone else really like the Fatherland JSA arc by Bill Willingham from a couple of years ago? I thought it was pretty cool, myself, seeing the JSA fighting Nazis again for a (semi) plausible reason, and it featured some pretty good characterization for Mr. Terrific, Batman, etc...but I've never heard anyone else say a single thing about it.

The arc where it kinda jumped several years into the future? Eh kinda. I'm just not a fan of future arcs. Really picky about the plot and the whole "it's the future and we are ****ed doesn't appeal to me". Basically anything future post-apocalyptic. Not a fan usually.

Probably the latter.
I really would've liked to be a fly on the wall in the DC offices - just to see how some of these outcomes get hashed.

Wally like Kyle have a following that shouldn't be ignored.

I admit the "New" 52 has left me hanging - to many tweaks in powers, abilities, motivations, and actual Mindset to suit me.

Wondergirls wearing armor? Meh,.. so she's just a emo with Armor now?

Cyborg has the apparent entire DC Tech-base of every major development /use on Earth? Amazo, Dwarf-Star, Metal Men, New God's tech? He should be Whooping Armies by himself,.. not just being the JL transport.

Superman reminds me of an educated union factory worker, WonderWoman Comes across as not too bright, Green Lantern reads like an abrasive SOB, (Hal Jordan - I'm trying hard to steer away from the character assasination of both Guy Gardner and John Stewart.) Martian ManHunter as lacking empathy WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED???

Fortunately the stories are at least Quirky enough to keep me reading a bit longer,... And I have dipped into and dropped stuff like Captain Atom and that Red Hood /outlaw series - leaving me casting about .

General: DOES ANYONE HAVE A SERIES in DC that maybe I missed that's working out real well?

Alright, here's my question. If the new universe started five years ago, that means:

1. Bruce Wayne becomes Batman.
2. Dick Graysons parents die.
3. Dick becomes Robin.
4. Dick grows up and beomes Nightwing.
5. Jason Todd becomes Robin.
6. Jason Todd is killed.
7. Tim Drake becomes Robin.
8. Tim becomes Red Robin.
9. Damian Wayne becomes Robin.

Right?

Four Robins in five years?

Seems like too much history for five years.

Batman's been public for five years but has been operating in the shadows for years prior to his public debut.

And from what I understand, Dick was adopted at around 16, rather than 12, in an attempt to fit this all in better, I guess.

I'm really enjoying Scott Snyder's Batman. Don't know if that's been mentioned, but there you go.

I find it easier to think of it this way:

15 years ago: Batman adopts Dick.
7 years ago: Batman adopts Jason.
5 years ago: Batman starts working with Tim Drake.
0 years ago: The DCU suffers a time anomaly that ****s **** up.

:o

yeah, it is. But it's been 8 months. I'm sick of hearing the same complaints over and over.

Then maybe you shouldn't use the internet....cuz that's the internet.....that and porn. :o

I actually don't mind if people don't get over it. Just don't bring it up every 5 ****ing minutes.
