Here's a random question, how does Nightwing not get his identity blown by just wearing a mask?

Cuz he's a white dude with black hair.

That's like 75% of the Caucasian population.

Also, people don't realize how handy those clear lenses thingies are. :o

It would help if you posted a link to the vid.

Nevermind. Supposedly it was Owlman and Superwoman (who turns out to be one hell of a s.l.u.t) from like a 2003 JLA book. Dissapointing tho. I mean they are just goooooing in (or about to). I was really hoping it was Bruce ready to plaster Diana on the bedpost. Instead it was just their other universe counterparts.

Wait I got one. Did anybody do Tim Drake yet? I mean Cassandra? Batgirl? ****, last I heard he was seeing Luscious' daughter?

So it's a safe bet that there will be no Jade or Obsidion in this version of Earth 2?

Wait. So that means to have a gay character in Alan Scott, DC had to kill off another gay character in Obsedian. Hah. Pointlessness.

Yep. I mean, Alan could somehow convince Thorn to be a surrogate mother or have a moment of gay weakness where she suddenly looks mighty fine to him or something random like that, but I doubt they're even going to advance Earth-2's timeline to the point where it'll be an issue. The focus seems to be squarely on the main JSA'ers in their prime.

The fact that Obsidian doesn't exist anymore is actually the reason why Robinson made Alan gay. He thought it sucked that they'd edited a prominent gay character out of existence, and then the idea dawned on him to just transfer "the gay" over to his dad, since he's still around.

I really believe in this idea of relaunching the Justice Society and making them younger. But I thought it was a shame that we lost Jade and Obsidian, who are Alan Scott's children. Obsidian has been in the comics for years and was a positive gay character.

And then, in the way that one idea can spring forward to the next, I thought, well, let's make Alan Scott gay. And to DC and to Dan DiDio's credit, when I ran the idea past him, there wasn't a moment's hesitation. He was like, "Yeah, that's great. Let's do it."

Eh, I guess that does make sense.

It makes enough sense. I'm cool with it. As for Tim still rocking the v-card, I wouldn't be surprised. He seems kind of a wiener.

Nah, Stephanie was spreading for him back in '95, I can't imagine all that time would pass with no action.

Does that mean that in order to make up for the lack of Jade, they'll also be making Alan a hateful b****?

This may seem like a weird question, but **** it. It's something that I've always kind of wondered.

Why is Hawkman typically portrayed as shirtless? I mean, not to argue practicality or anything for a guy who has giant bird wings, but from a design standpoint it's never really made much sense to me. It's unique, I'll give it that, but has it ever been addressed with an actual reason in the comics? Does it have something to do with Egyptian mythology, or is it more steeped in barbarianism?

Sorry, weird question. But it's kind been one of those odd elephants in the room for me ever since I started getting into Johns and Robinson's run. It's just... never really written out or designed away, in the grand scheme of things. I wondered if there was a reason.

I have a feeling that's like asking why Wonder Woman's costume has bosoms. I think it's something that's made to appeal to comic readers. Some say that drawing big muscles on a male superhero is a way for male artists to transfer some sort of male power fantasy onto the page, and Carter (or Katar or whatever the hell his name is this week) walking around shirtless just adds to that.

She was a baby-mama at like 15. That means she's fertile. Tim would be smart enough not to stick his Grayson in that compost heap.

Also: Whatever happened to Joker's face after Detective?

Because wearing a condom is such a hard thing to do. :o

We can only hope. Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing him cheat on his boyfriend with another man and then blame his boyfriend for driving him to it.
