It's hard to pin down exactly what Multiversity is at this point in the overarching sense. 7 of the issues take place on different worlds and seem to have somewhat self-contained stories, but the overall story set-up in the first issue is that a group of powerful, evil beings are going about the multiverse, and basically mutilating and corrupting different Earths, and a group of superheroes from the multiverse has been called together to the old Monitors station to combat them. That bit was set-up in the first issue, and will be resolved with the final issue. The issues in-between will be set on different Earths, and as of issue 2, it's not super clear how exactly the narratives will bled into each other.

One thing that was evident by the second issue is that a hero from each world showcased in the one shots would join our heroes from the House of Heroes (Monitor satellite) to combat the greater threat in the final issue of the series (The Multiversity #2).

In the case of issue 2 it was Green Lantern Abin Sur from Earth 20 who we saw on the cover of The Multiversity #1 along with Mary Marvel (from the upcoming Thunderworld issue), President Superman and Captain Carrot.

Thunderworld looks fun. I don't know or care what the rest of Multiversity is about, but I might check out that issue.

You should check it all out. That s**t is f**kin' awesome.

How/when did Powergirl and Huntress from Earth 2 return to Earth 2?

Morrison is exhausting to me at this point.

Morrison's thing at DC for the last few years has been writing love letters to his childhood nostalgia in his own weird, Grant Morrison-y way. That's all well and good, and it's made for some good stories, but it does get kind of same-y after a while.

I've started reading Infinite Crisis: Fight for the Multiverse. Who is Earth Prime Batman? Is Earth Prime what they're calling New 52? Is it the Old DC one? An Elseworlds one?

I tried to google it and my head nearly exploded trying to read about all the multiverses.

It's really not that hard. It's Batman. Just from an alternate Earth. You know what an alternate reality is right? It's the theory that there are many to an infinite number of universes that are the same but slightly different. In one, Batman is Batwoman. In another, he's Batman, but in ancient Japan. In another he's dead, and his evil brother is a super villain called Owlman.

This particular Batman is an alternate universe Batman from that video game. You know? That God's Among Us fighting game they did? Well the particular story you're reading takes place in that reality.

Thanks my condescending buddy I'm aware of all that. I just wanted to know if it was a specific Batman or "here's Batman, doesn't matter where or when or which".

I swear, wasn't being condescending. I just didn't know if you knew what an alt universe was.

Seriously, some of the questions we get in here really are stupid. You have no idea.

But yeah, it's just Batman. Bruce Wayne. Parents killed in front of him. All that. Just in the universe of that fighting game they had a couple of years ago.

I'm very sorry for being a jerk. :csad:

I knew Injustice has it's own comic series, I might've thought Infinite Crisis was related to the 2006 storyline.

No that is not the Batman from Injustice either. It's a Batman from the world of that MMORPG game Infinite Crisis.

Are there any genuinely good Superman stories from the Silver Age?

If whats his face hadn't been banned he coulda told you...of course he woulda also gave you a 40 paragraph diatribe about why everything since after 1985 is s**t...but then that's why he got the ban hammer.

Death of Superman I guess. Not the one from the 90's. The other one from way back when.

I think I know the guy you're talking about... he used to have that Shemp avatar.

I'll look for it. Thanks.

Think about what you're asking. Of a period of thing that spanned decades, do you honestly think there's not a single genuinely good Superman story within it?

Well it's been my experience that Silver Age stories usually aren't that well written, though every now and then you get one or two from that time period that holds up better than others.

It's also been my experience that you're more likely to find Silver Age stories where Superman indulges in Super-[BLEEP]ery than super-heroics, and that admittedly makes for great comedy.

What the hell is the suit Batman is wearing in Superman Unchained with all the light coming off of it? I've even seen some pics that make the light look almost pink. Is that just someone photoshopping the yellow to another color?
