Honestly, I didn't think Dave would have been brought back after he hosted the first time.

Well I dont think he’ll be invited back now, that monologue had to have had Lorne Michael palpitating :funny:

He still went on to make appearances in the two best skits of the night apart from the cold open, which were Aunt Jemima and the Ford Bronco news story. His monologue was the highlight for me.

I wish they had done a sequel to that election night sketch from 2016. I guess it would only work if Trump had won.

The one with Chris Rock? Yeah, it was tougher this time around given how long the election stretched out for.

But Baldwin’s Trump playing the piano in the cold open did remind me of Kate McKinnon’s Hillary playing “Hallelujah” after the 2016 election. That was probably done on purpose.

Contrary to what even Baldwin himself has been saying, I also doubt this is the last we’ve seen of his Trump. Even after January.

Darrell Hammond has played Trump before.

So has Taran Killam. But Baldwin's is so popular that it would be him brought back for any Trump appearance.

He sounded like he was done based on his social media activity.

So it would seem, but what I don't understand about that is that Trump is still in the picture until January, so it's strange that Baldwin would bow out now.

Who can blame him, but I still wouldn't rule out one last farewell from him in January along with Cecily Strong's Melania, Don Jr. and Eric, Beck Bennett's Pence, etc.

It depends on if the real Trump wants to actually leave by then.

Its almost poetic isnt it? Like Trump had to lose just so we can have Jim play Biden and say that line. That single handedly made up for the rest of his performance this season :funny:

Agree that Carrey's Biden isn't clicking for me either. For what it's worth, though, this season has nearly wrought tears of optimistic relief from me twice so far, and his remote control pause during the first debate was one of them.

I'm still getting aftershock goosebumps from that "Times Like These" performance. Wish Jim had jumped up and recreated this moment which is one of my enduring memories of SNL after all these years

I've noticed that most of the musical acts on SNL don't used a lot flash and sizzle for their sets, which would require a lot of people.

Hopefully Morgan Wallen doesn't mess up like he did the last time.

Yeah that was one of the best they’ve done in a while, imo.

As someone who has tried and failed multiple times to secure a PS5, that Stu sketch both stung and was hilarious at the same time.

I'm not overly shocked because it's Jim Carrey but I'd have thought he'd at least stuck around through the rest of the season. At least we still got the epic "Lehew...Zeher" punchline from him.

Maybe this means we can get Sudeikis back as Biden?
