Comedy The Offical Saturday Night Live Thread - Part 3

I'm surprised they haven't announced who's hosting yet but then again for some reason I kept thinking SNL premieres in the middle of September.

Aristotle Athari is Iranian American and was in the cast a few years ago but was let go after one season. Let's see if Wakim fares better but I suppose it doesn't even make a difference if Lorne is cutting promising newcomers anyway.
I don't even remember him.

I'm assuming they're going to go all out with big name hosts for the 50th season but Troast getting let go has really dampened my anticipation for it.

I don't even remember him.
He really only did one thing on the show that stood out:

John Belushi's ghost. :o

Interesting lineup, didn't expect them to start with Jean Smart and Nate Bargatze. Oct 19 & Nov 2 should be great.

Of all of them I'm most excited for Keaton.

I expected more SNL alums, and not Mulaney to be honest. Love him but he's hosted so many times in the last like five years alone. Can we get Bill Hader or Conan?

And Nate Bargatze again so soon is surprising. It feels like he was just there.

With the exceptions of Smart and Keaton, the rest of them feel like they were just there. Grande was in a sketch or two as the musical guest when Brolin hosted earlier this year.

Are the talent agents having trouble booking hosts or something? Kathryn Hahn has Agatha to promote, has never hosted and would fit right in. She's literally right there.

Even Halle Barry is everywhere right now promoting her new movie, she would have gotten people watching if she hosted.

It's getting mixed reviews and I was hoping it would be good.

Does that mean Chappell Roan isn't confirmed? 🥺

Saying that SNL is turning 50 because it’s the 50th season, even thought the actual 50th anniversary is still a year away?

Stolen valor. :o

Joe Biden tonight is being played by
Dana Carvey.
