Comedy The Offical Saturday Night Live Thread - Part 3

Now that's what I'm talking about. Repeat hosts who haven't hosted in well over a decade, almost two in Jack Black's case. Really excited to see Mikey host.

It's also crazy how it's been almost 15 years since Jon Hamm last hosted. Doesn't feel like it since he's cameoed a bunch of times since.

Morgan Wallen is a yikes
It's why the fast forward button exists. :o

i wonder if wiig will pop in with Hamm. i wouldn't mind it

I don't have one because I usually watch it live.

Ah, I usually wait until the next morning to watch it because I'm usually asleep before the first musical performance. The last time I watched it live not counting the 50th Special was the first show after the 2020 Election. Happier times. :csad:

But also, the mute button exists too. :o

Mikey didn't do anything wrong but it was still kind of a meh episode apart from Weekend Update and these sketches will always make me laugh, especially Mikey Day and Ego Nwodim in the background:

Also Morgan Wallen being on point as a massive d***head just walking off the stage at the good nights. If it wasn't enough of a sign that the cast couldn't stand his ass that they all stood way in the back, they brought in Joe Jonas in a guest spot instead of the actual musical guest this week. :o

I wonder why Lorne Michaels was so keen on having Wallen in the first place. Back during COVID he was uninvited for using the n-word, he's been arrested multiple types for public drunkenness, and then this happens. What is so appealing about this guy? I genuinely want to know.

Among the worst episodes in recent memory, regardless of whatever was going on with Wallen. Disappointing because I was excited to see Mikey host.

The cold open was probably the best part of the ep

I would put good money on his fandom having a lot to say about “woke” and “DEI”, so I’m guessing that his appeal begins and ends with: white guy acting up.

Actually he got uninvited from SNL for breaking Covid protocol. He was invited back a few weeks later. The N-word incident happened a few months after that, which is all the more reason why he shouldn't have been invited back this time.

Bigger question is why he agreed? 🤔

What I want to know is, where's the part in the bible that says it's okay to throw a chair off the roof a six-story building and put people's lives at risk? :o
