It needs to be realistic for this film, but more of a sensationalized version of real life tournaments. A Bloodsport meets karate kid kind of thing.

Then at the end like in Mortal Kombat goku takes it to another level with his first

I hope at the tournament we see a lot of smaller characters in the series maybe a Yajirobe or someone like that, not just Krillin or Tien though I HOPE they BOTH are there. Maybe even Mercenary Tao could show up

my exact feeling too. i think they need to showcase the world tournament and give it a grand feel on screen.

I hope Goku defeats Piccolo with the kamehameha

Though he didn’t finish him for good with the Kamehameha, it would be a tremendous service to the fans if they re-enacted that famous exchange(more like reception by Piccolo, lol) of attacks between Goku and Piccolo, just after Piccolo leveled Papaya Island with his Chobakuretsumaha.



I could only find this part of the episode in German on YT.

Doubtful. It would probably cost too much for what the character is worth. What about Stephen Quadros? At least, he's a color commentator for martial arts. The only problem is that he's in his mid-fifties now.

A cameo by Kyle Herbert (voice of Mr. Announcer in the anime) would be nice .

As for the tournament, they should have Tien or Krillin as the incumbent Champion. This would be a good way to introduce either of them into the movie. I hope they do this, or otherwise we wont see the characters .

I think they could introduce Tien or Krillin by having one of them fight Goku is a round of the tournament.

If Im not mistaken his voice actor was Eric Vale.
