The official Ant-Man casting thread

With the film in full swing (Edgar Wright directing, etc), it was annouced that he'd be using both Henry Pym and Scott Lang for the film. That being said, in your opinion, who would be your choices for both characters?

My choices as Pym would really depend on how the character was written. For example I'd choose:

Aaron Eckhart if the role was done serious
Matthew McConaughey for a more action oriented character
Steve Carell if Pym was written for a more of a comedic character

For Janet, I'd still go with Jane March. She's not half-Filipino, but she's half asian and would do the part justice.

I'm not sure who I'd cast as Scott Lang seeing as how he might be involved in the plot too.

since it's a comedy, i'd definately be cool with Simon Pegg as Scott Lang. but that would make the casting of Pym trickier. if they showed his scenes in black-in-white (like a flashback), i'd go with Bruce Campbell. whoever suggested Robert Redford, that was a great idea but i couldn't imagine him agreeing to it. otherwise...

why? he's good at playing mysterious (The Saint) and does the mentor role well (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Mindhunters, etc). also he's just about the right age and still looks like he could have been a superhero. i won't go into him being able to do 'crazy' because that likely won't be part of the movie.

why? he looks sympathetic enough but wouldn't be unbelievable as a cat-burglar. plus, he's just about the right age. he and Kilmer were in Red Planet together.
