IIRC the Starks were assassinated in the late 80s or early 90s, Pym as far as we know was active in the 60s. I doubt we will get a Pym/Bucky showdown

Yeah, seems unlikely.

I'd like to see the winter soldier in Agent Carter, though. I'd also like to see Hank Pym in that show. But it's hard to see the winter soldier with Hank Pym.

Imagine a Betty Ross TV series. :funny: What possible stories could she have? They would definitely need some superhero appearances then, otherwise it would be so dull. :p

If the Winter Soldier is sent to steal some research/tech from Pym for HYDRA, or maybe just to kill him because he's considered a threat, then it could work. The Winter Soldier has been active for over 50 years, according to Black Widow.

So they're saying all the major assassinations were Bucky? JFK, MLK, etc.? I think they were hinting at that but never outright said it.

I think that that was the implication. It fits in with the idea of HYDRA secretly orchestrating a lot of the chaos and violence over the latter half of the 20th Century.

I meant Peggy Carter (Betty Ross is such an old woman name). but you do realize that Betty is the Red She-Hulk, right?

I have a comic book question.

Was it Skrull-Pym or the real Pym who appeared in Irredeemable Ant-Man?

I could never work out the timeline.

skrull Pym appeared throughout. Pym was replaced shortly after Avengers Disassembled. the Pym who appeared in the Beyond series was also supposed to be a skrull.

That is what I thought. So is the first time the real Pym met O'Grady in the Ant-Man and Wasp mini?

we only officially saw them meet in that series, yes. but they were, technically, in the same environment when the skrull-napped heroes were getting counseling at Camp Hammond. O'Grady was graduating, at that point. and he apparently had been visiting Pym prior to the Ant-Man & Wasp series for testing purposes. Hank, for whatever reason, replaced Eric's skrull-created suit with something more resembling the original Ant-Man costume. I'm guessing that this was at the behest of Steve Rogers (who recruited Eric for his Secret Avengers).

Yeah, the delay is probably fine unless there's concern it'll push the release date back. It's best to get whatever is causing it fixed now rather than after they've started filming. The final product will be better for it.

Dang delays, but Marvel has done a good job about getting movies out on time so here is hoping they continue that track record.

the delay doesn't bother me too much. we still have Avengers 2 to tide us over.

If your a Marvel fan and/or have kids this is something you will want to check out. It's called Marvel Universe LIVE and it looks to be something huge. I made a thread about it here in the comics section because I wasn't sure where to put it:

http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=466805

You can see when they are coming to a city near you at the site:

http://www.marveluniverselive.com/

and this will be a multi-country thing as well! Looks like Marvel is going to have another hit on their hands. I don't see how this thing will be anything but a monster with the popularity of the movies

Kevin Feige has been talking about Ant-Man with Empire Magazine

Edgar Wright's Ant-Man is a movie which has been a long time coming, especially as it's been in the works before Iron Man blasted onto the big screen in 2008. Now that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has expanded to such a great extent, Empire Magazine caught up with Kevin Feige to ask him whether or not the movie has been changed in order to reflect that. "A little bit. Not much. There's been a little bit of connective tissue that wouldn't have been there in in his draft ten years ago," he revealed. "We changed, frankly some of the MCU to accommodate this version of Ant-Man. Knowing what we wanted to do with Edgar and with Ant-Man, going years and years back, helped to dictate what we did with the roster for Avengers the first time. It was a bit of both in terms of his idea for the Ant-Man story influencing the birth of the MCU in the early films leading up to Avengers."

As for why Hank Pym - the original creator of Ultron in the comic books - isn't in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Feige explained: "It was two things - a story Edgar wanted to tell that we'll see with Michael Douglas and Paul Rudd, and now we're 11 films in, it's looking at the characters we've already introduced who already have the technology and the brains to do...certain things [Laughs]." He's obviously alluding to Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark there, an equally logical choice for the creator of Ultron in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As for whether Pym is the "original Tony Stark", he added, "He's certainly older. Original Tony Stark? In that he is an inventor and a scientist, but he has a very different demeanour that Tony and a very different ego, even when he was younger."

Finally, talk turned to the decision to cast Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, and Feige dropped a few very interesting hints about the Anchorman star's take on the character. "Look at that origin of the petty crook who comes into contact with a suit and does his best to make good, and then look at someone like Paul Rudd, who can do slightly unsavoury things like break into people's houses and still be charming and who you root for and whose redemption you will find satisfaction in." How do you guys feel about these comments? Be sure to sound off with your thoughts on them in the usual place!
