Maybe unless they make Hank a former colleague of Howard Stark.

i'm kind of wondering if Tony knows Janet. she's a wealthy socialite. he's a wealthy playboy. surely they would have run into one another at social events. i can already imagine Tony hitting on her.

Hopefully not anymore, lest he wants to get an angry, and possibly firey, Pepper. :)

since Pepper isn't scheduled to make an appearance, i'm betting that the two of them are "taking a break" prior to Avengers 2 hitting screens. and Tony is an impulsive sort.

One thing I noticed is how Taskmaster is a recurring foe of Scott Lang. There was a debate about who his villains are since Ant-Man doesn't have a good rogues gallery. Even though Taskmaster is someone who has been suggested for Agents of SHIELD, he wouldn't be a bad villain overall.

Taskmaster is an adversary for Hank Pym, Janet Van Dyne and Scott Lang, so he'd be perfect to show up in the Ant-Man franchise.

Which actor would you guys like to see play Taskmaster?

I would have said Frank Grillo. but he's Crossbones. then I would have said Ray Stevenson. but he was Punisher. outside of needing to be physically imposing, the voice will be really important unless they do some kind of distortion effect (like the killer in 'Scream'). :shrugs: Jeffrey Dean Morgan? Adam Baldwin?:shrugs:

Jon Bernthal.

JDM....would be interesting. It would also mean that another cast member from the CBM movie "The Losers" has joined the MCU.

I was thinking more about his connection to Patrick Wilson, actually.

For some reason dolph lundgren comes to my mind for Taskmaster. Maybe because dolph lundgren played a shady mercenary in the expendables films.

Or it could just be that she's not in-town when the stuff in Avengers 2 happens. She does have a giant international corporation to run for him, after all.

I don't know if I'd agree that Taskmaster needs to be imposing. My own image of him ( which may well be contradicted by the comics at some point, but meh ), is that underneath the mercenary persona, he's a fairly ordinary guy, not some giant action hero ( villain ). If he ditched his costume, he should go unremarked upon.

So, while the guy playing him should look in extremely good shape, like somebody who does a lot of exercise and training, he shouldn't look Ahnuld-esque or anything.

either way, it doesn't preclude him being familiar with Janet Van Dyne.

he does go unremarked upon; because he now uses a holographic image projector.

his real face has been altered enough that he needs the disguise.

the reason why i said that he needed to be imposing is that he's an instructor. you should be able to tell that he's the guy in charge; just by looking at him.

this might be one of the roles they could get away with casting someone like Scott Adkins (see: unpopular Iron Fist thread).

What would be the choice for an Avengers team member cameo? Who seem like a good fit?

I thought he and Hawkeye kind of hated each other.

Scott and Clint get along great. Clint was one of the avengers Pym is the most close to.

Pym and Clint bumped heads in the beginning but became great friends later on.
