Well Hulk doesn't have any more solos in the pipeline as far as we know. If this film does well we might get sequels and then having connections won't be as important to guarantee appearances.

Feige said they built the MCU with Edgar's Ant-Man in mind and they have plans for Ant-Man post this film.

We have Ant-Man and Wasp being sixties Cold war superhero spies. Howard Stark and Peggy Carter are making an appearance in the movie. Lily has hinted at having a feature role in the MCU.

I think it is certain this film will be connected with the rest of the MCU. The whole reason Edgar left was because the film was connected enough to the MCU.
