I don't think they need to change his name if they don't want to.

Pym had almost the exact power set throughout most of his other super hero identities.

I imagine they would update Rudd's costume like they do with everyone else in each movie.

They will probably keep the Ant-Man helmet even though it was instantly redundant in the comics when Pym could fit all the tech in the mask of his giant man costume.

I don't think we're getting a trailer with the Agent Carter premiere. It's in less than a week, and nothing's been announced.

Hopefully they just want to keep the trailer secret. Nowadays with teaser trailers for teaser trailers saying when the teaser trailer comes out is silly. It'd be nice to have a trailer just show up randomly

I like the idea that has been mentioned about Ant Man fighting Yellow Jacket while going back and forth between shrinking and returning to normal size while battling. That would be very visually stunning and exciting to watch. However, from a logical standpoint I have to ask what would really be the advantage to returning to normal size if they keep the same strength even when they are small. Just curious, if anyone has any answers for that. Maybe I am just thinking about things too much. lol

As for Giant Man, well I don't expect him to be in the Ant-man movie, but it will save the opportunity for the character to be used later in some capacity.

Returning to larger size may help with not getting squashed by the environment or something. They could be fighting anywhere.

Maybe. It is an exciting concept though fighting while changing sizes that has never been done before (at least to my knowledge). If Marvel does it then it will be another first that they have under their belt and it would be another example of how they are continuing to prove themselves as pioneers of this generation.

Yellowjacket could be the one who changes his size and Ant-Man is matching him because he needs to take him down. If they film this scene it would be visually impressive.

It'd be really cool but I don't know about all that.

I would like to see them go subatomic as well.

They could do some awesome digital visuals with the subatomic and microscopic world.

Imagine Ant-Man sicking one of those creepy microscopic bugs on someone.

When will we get to see a trailer? I know it's finished with principal photography so I wonder why we don't even have a teaser yet.

It's already been classified and has a good chance of being released with the premiere of Agent Carter, on Jan 6.

Keeping it secret would be kind of counter to the whole point of airing it with the show. They didn't make the AoU trailer airing with Agents a secret.

And that didn't exactly work out how they wanted. In the week's time of announcing that it would air on the next episode, it got leaked. They were very good sports about it with the Twitter joke and still airing it with new footage but it took the wind out of their sails a bit.

Exactly. They are going to do whatever it takes to not have a leak like that again

I don't think not saying there was going to be a trailer would have prevented the leak. And part of the whole point of airing these trailers with the shows is to get ratings up, which can't be done if it's a surprise, and advertising it in advance would also help raise awareness of the movie and get more people to see the trailer.

There was the clip from TWS that aired during AoS, which I don't think was advertised ahead of time.

Unless we count branding the entire arc around it, to the point of even using the weathered version of Captain America's shield from the TWS promotional material in promos.

But, I don't think that should count.

I'm not saying one begat the other, just that they will probably operate differently this time around. You are right though, IP awareness is the end game here so whatever path leads there.

Yeah, but as you said, that doesn't count. Because we're talking about specifically announcing something ahead of time. Granted, maybe there's a difference between a clip and a scene, especially when the scene was actually the post-credits scene for the episode (as opposed to something different). But it was a complete surprise.

Haha that's very cool.

That was twice as bad because I saw it on the embedded mini-screen instead of at least going full screen.

I'm going to trust the internetz to find someone tech savvy enough to blow that thing up..lo

I did that with Chrome, just zoom 500% on that s*it!

I see what you did there marvel ;)

As predicted trailer will appear with Agent Carter.
