I brought up FF because it seems that families of color hardly ever shown adopting in general, let alone kids who happen to be White. So, I thought it'd be interesting if that were the case for the Storm siblings.

Too many black people is bad for business. One Storm is enough. But two?! S***.

:o

2 black people and it's a Tyler Perry movie

:hehe:

Also, John Stewart getting some love in the SV universe...

Does he kinda look like Phil LaMarr to anyone else?

You sound off the wall saying that. :o

I am a musician (guitarist/pianist). After a certain level of experience one becomes less judgmental about genres and more interested in techniques that one may acquire from a wider range of styles. I'm as likely to listen to Spice Girls as I am to Towa Tei, Cibo Matto, Opeth, Crooked-I or Meneguar. If you wish to be musically limited then such is your prerogative. In the mean time, I shall remain a music enthusiast.

Does anyone know anyone who celebrates Kwanzaa? Or do you celebrate Kwanzaa?

For my entire time on this board, I had yet to meet another fan.

You took my post far too seriously.

After that they answered each question, "Who is Martin Luther King?"

Does anyone know anyone who celebrates Kwanzaa? Or do you celebrate Kwanzaa?

I know a friend who celebrates it. He says that his family has gotten a lot out of it. I toy around with the idea every year, but I haven't really celebrated it.

I guess it was inevitable that someone here knew someone who was one of the dozen black people who actually celebrates it.

I've only ever seen people celebrate it on special holiday episodes of children's TV shows. I know about as much about Kwanzaa as anyone who watches Rugrats and The Proud Family.

You're not going to get a better answer out of me than "Suzie Carmichael and Penny Proud."

Someone asked my sig other if she celebrated it at her job.

In light of the official FF casting, how would you feel if it was shown that the Storm family is Black and they had adopted a White child?

I'd feel that it's dishonest, at it's worst. You're going out of your way to explain something because it's total BS. At best, it's just unnecessary. Just portray the characters as they are in the comics, and you don't need to explain away the inconsistency.

I hope they don't even attempt to explain it. Just have them be brother and Sister and not say a damn thing about it. That would drive them mofo's nuts. :hehe:

It's going to be a passing mention. "Reed, my half-brother Johnny can pilot the ship."

BBC Three's Reggie Yates s Extreme South Africa in which he visits White ghettos was a interesting watch.
