You're so hipster that Photobucket deletes your pics before they become cool.

Time out. Eddie Murphy came back to music? It's actually not that bad either.

My brothas, and sista, what are y'all currently listening to? I'm jamming some old 112, Foreign Exchange, Rochelle Jordan, and some old Outkast since they're coming back this year. Give me some recommendations so that I can jam some more. If the music is bad I'll have to sue to get your blackness taken away, and if you don't have much blackness I'll make you the darkest person on Earth and leave you in the middle of Florida.:o

This is what I've had on rotation in iTunes the past week:
  • Amok - Atoms for Peace
  • Modern Guilt - Beck
  • Air's entire catalog
  • The Renaissance - Q-Tip
  • Kamaal The Abstract - Q-Tip
  • Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd
  • Another Late Night (series) - DJ'd by Tommy Guerrero
  • Bitter - MeShell Ndgeocello
  • Smokers Delight - Nightmares on Wax
  • Something About April - Adrian Younge
  • Nefertiti - Miles Davis
  • No Beginning No End - Jose James
  • Inception Soundtrack - Hans Zimmer
  • Little Dragon's entire catalog
  • My Beautiful Dark... - Kanye
  • Black Radio 1 & 2 - Robert Glasper
  • SBTRKT - SBTRKT

Sorry if this list was a bit long. A lot of this I've listened to over and over.

I had a hard drive with 100GB of music...and I dropped it. I lost everything I didn't purchase via iTunes. I've recovered maybe a 1/3 of it so far. It sucks because some of what I had was ripped from CDs I no longer have AND some of the stuff I got from those super-duper Russian sites (and some of the music isn't available in the states).

Hopefully you'll find something you enjoy in my list

Nice to see another Little Dragon fan!

I liked Little Dragons last album.

I've been listening to type of R'n'B I like is Jai Paul (who did a track on Big Boi from Outkast solo album), Twin Shadows and Ben Kahn.

Indie pop like Bombay Bicycle Club, AYME and Metronomy (who has taken the current mantle of coolest black base player in a band).

The Rap I've been listening to is Pusha T, Roots Manuva, Talib Kweli and Chuck Inglish.

Rock music I'm listening to Arctic Monkeys, The Black Angels, Royal Blood.

Jai Paul - Jasmine

Music with me consist of...

The Clash entire catalog (except Cut the Crap)
Little Dragon's new single Klapp Klapp (I'm addicted to this song)
Daley's new album, I don't listen to much R&B but this guy's not bad.
Silversun Pickups' new song Cannibal
And a lot of Nordic Lounge chill-out music that I discovered.
Arcade Fire's Her score
The Warriors soundtrack

And that's just off the top of my head.

Music of the moment:

Broken Social Scene
The Black Keys
Zo!
Dwele
Amp Fiddler
Choklate
Stephanie Mills

Gwen Bunn
Eric Benet
Ledisi
Justin Timberlake
Foo Fighters
Foreign Exchange
Robert Glasper Experiment

I'd be interested in some of that Nordic Lounge chill. Do you have any artists I could look up?

This is a nice list! I had a chance to see Jose James live. He did an incredible over of Al Green's "Simply Beautiful." I'm going to see The Foreign Exchange in May. Robert Glasper is also coming my way soon. I would die to see The Black Keys.

Patrice Rushen? Now I gotta throw on "Haven't You Heard?"

Well, the stuff I found were torrents of Nordic Lounge albums with various artists; most whom I've never heard of.

But the ones I did know before hand were Hird, Swell Session, and Stateless so I'd maybe start with them; especially their songs with Yukimi Nagano.

There are some nice recommendations in here. I'm gonna have to listen to them later on tonight.

If you like The Black Keys you should check out Royal Blood. Royal Blood's track Out Of The Black sounds like a heavy rock Black Keys song.

If you like Foo Fighter you might want to check out Biffy Clyro.

In light of the official FF casting, how would you feel if it was shown that the Storm family is Black and they had adopted a White child?

Stretchy men, guys made of rock and fire, women that can turn invisible...all this I can accept. But the bold part is stretching the limits of my suspension of disbelief.

:hehe:

Ugh, Michael B. Jordan is not the problem. F***ing Reed Richards is too young.

But, aren't all of them supposed to be young if they're going the Ultimate universe route?

There's something about his face. He just looks ten years younger than he actually is. I guess I'll be waiting for the first still.

Im just upset that Jaimie Bell was cast as Thing...he is not rocky or super strong. You'd think they'd be able to cast a rocky guy for the roll...what will they do next cast a rocky guy as Dr Strange???
