Mannnnnnnnn! are you Kidding!!!
JOURNEY IS THE #$%^&!! There aint nothing wrong listening their jams as a brother!
...... Now maybe listening toLynyrd Skynyrd " Sweet home Alabama" might get your "Brother card" revoked.. but not non threatening Journey!
..... listening to Justin Bebier will get your " man-card" taken away!:cwink:

Considering Randy Jackson played bass for Journey I would hope not.

I think a lot of black people listen to stuff like rock, pop, and electronic music in secret. As soon as the genres start crossing over with one another, black rap & R&B fans are like the first people to jump in.

"Elton John? Nah, that's some old ass white people mess. I don't listen to him."
[Mary J. Blige samples "Benny and the Jets"]
"Ah snap, it's Mary J. with that Elton John ish!"

that's probably true of most. my first exposure to rap/hip hop didn't come until junior high school and it was because it's all the white kids were talking about; Criss Cross, Kid n Play, and Beastie Boys come to mind. before that, i only listened to what my parents listened to; Marvin Gaye, the Ojays, Temptations, Bob Marley, Sam Cooke, and Aaron Neville. during high school, i used to listen to a lot of 80s music and classic rock. in college, it was mostly ska, metal, r&b, and alt rock. i've only been to 3 concerts in my lifetime; Radiohead, Beastie Boys (Tribe Called Quest was the opening act/it was their last show/my friends & i were interviewed by Kurt Loder), and Rufus Wainwright.

That's why you got brothas suddenly getting into Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry.
Well its not really that hard.. when she's basically asking to get twerked!
:cwink: hahahah!

Yeah. I'm from Baton Rouge where Randy is from, and his brother taught drums at the music store I used to manage. Talk about an unbelievably talented musical family. His brother is an amazing jazz drummer, and Randy isn't nearly as *****ey as he is on tv. :D

There was an episode of Soul Train where David Bowie performed, and I actually remember Soul Train playing INXS' I Need You Tonight; so, pretty much, if it sounds good we'll groove to it.

Royal Blood are a great new rock band

I've always listened to rap, R&B, rock, pop, and electronic since I was a 10. I never understood why some brothas think that if you aren't listening to only rap and R&B, you're aren't black enough. You've got some white and Asian people who don't listen to rap for no real reason. It's all ignorant, really. I feel as though there is too much music out there to limit yourself to only a couple of genres. Like someone else said, branch out. There is something out there in the massive genres of rap, rock, electronic, or whatever that you will love.
I don't know how people who only listen to one or two genres of music don't get bored. I like rap and R&B but if someone said I could only listen to those two types of music for the rest of my life it would be awful.

To most kids today in the UK I need you tonight is a rap song by annoying rapper Professor Green

Right now I listen to Esperanza Spalding, who basically sings soul but plays instruments alongside.

Been listening to a lot of Portugal. The Man and Arctic Monkeys' latest albums.

any of you guys use Bevel Shaving products? Thinking about buying the starter kit but want some honest opinions

Heard if it, ain't tried it. I use edge gel and extreme 3.

I can't use razors. I shave w/ clippers.

Thats what my barber told me to do, but I just dont like using electric razors every time I need to shave. Call me weird but I really like the feeling of using a razor.

Fusion pro-glide is the best razor out there IMO.

I used to use Gillete Fusion Pro Glide, but I'm getting way too many razor bumps not to mention hyperpigmentation on my cheeks.

I'm trying to make the switch to a double edged razor, but Im wondering if it's worth it

Bevel is being advertised as one of the few, if not the only, shaving experience for black men. Well, they say "The first and only end to end shaving system specifically designed for men with coarse,
curly hair." But through the ads and website it's clear that they mean black men.
It seems really interesting but on the more expensive side. But Im willing to use it if it gets results.

Damn, $60 bucks for this? It better be the best shave in the world.

Should it hurt more if your girl leaves you for a white guy?

Yes, it's one thing if a woman rejects you alone. It's another if she gives up on black men entirely because of you.

It's kind of like a woman going lesbian after her relationship with you.

Well she dated him a little before me, but still kept contact with him during our ship and said it was nothing but went back to him once we were finished.

Well if she dated him before then you can't really blame yourself for her going to the white side.

She obviously was willing to date whites before she ever met you.
