So wait a minute. The trailer is being released in 28 hours for us east coasters? What in the ****? So I get to see it in 3D then come home and watch it in 2D in HD right away? CAN'T. HANDLE. MY. *****. ****, no I'm wrong. I get the trailer 24 hours before I see it in all it's HD glory. Sahhweet.

And if that horrid action figure is any indication, the crotch won't be black. I think, as awkward as this is, Andrew wanted them to edit out his crotch bulge from the film and I think the blackness there on the suit IRL somehow is utilized in eliminating it from the final cut.

I have faith in Sony Imageworks this time because there won't be as much CGI as in the Raimi films which means they have more time for polish.

Plus, when the teaser, in all its HD glory, lands on Thursday, we can see the final question of life...

IS TEH CROTCH DA BLACK?!

Lols.

Well, Poni_Boy, (Who I'm not quite sure is telling the truth lately), said that the trailer he was shown (probably the Comic Con trailer) had The Lizard at the end and...

He's supposed to be pretty freaky looking with the coat and pants, fast, agile and powerful. He has a 'Jekyll and Hyde' complex where Connors turns back after a while but is addicted to the formula. Poni_Boy said he isn't sure if it's just a simple addiction or maybe he accepts the Lizard as a way to get his arm back.
Poni_Boy tells the truth.

You want a reveal of The Lizard...in a teaser...for a movie coming out in 1 year.

Bane is human, there is only so much speculation that can go into his character. The Lizard is...THE LIZARD! Plus, I have a feeling we will see him at Comic Con.
Yeah, at least Bane is just a guy in a mask

Poni_Boy tells the truth.

I saw his work with GL and X-Men, but his trailer was wrong description was wrong (We're assuming it's the Comic Con one) and he said there would be a poster 2 weeks ago.

I still trust him, but it's been shaky lately.

Agree with everyone's sentiment that the POV shot is pretty awesome...hope its not so CGI looking a year from now...inventive ways to show him jumping on someone from behind and the do a quick cut to a wide shot when he lands.

Also I don't know if this has been discussed but its very obvious they wanted to keep the fact that this was a spider-man movie until like half way through the trailer. The GA won't suspect until they see the spider coming down. This way they wont immediately reject it if they have a bad taste from the last movie. Love what I see so far.

HOPE the comic-con spidey panel is coming online! I mean, just the discussion parts... I'd really wanna hear it!

Can't wait to see it in HD.This is going to be in front of Cap right?

I agree Liam. I watched it on time with the idea in mind that I was someone that knew who Spider-Man was, but only barely. I can only imagine the reactions from people that are saying, "What the **** is this?" until he gets bitten!

I like the tone of the teaser. It seems darker than Raimi's. I loved his first two films, but I'm willing to give this one a shot. With a darker tone, high school setting, Gwen and a new villain(The Lizard), I think this reboot will be able to establish itself from Raimi's films pretty easily. I love the cast, director, and overall direction this thing is headed in. I don't know if it will be as good as Raimi's films, but I'm excited. Oh, and I don't quite get the hate for the suit. Its not great, but its not THAT bad IMO.

I think this is going to be the best superhero film of all time. Quote me on it.

A projectionist on another site who has the trailer along with cap has said the low quality bootleg doesn't do the POV Justice, on the big screen in 3D it is MIND BLOWING. I.e 'YOU' are spider-man jumping and swinging in the big city

Don't have time to go back through all the pages but what's the general consensus on the POV shots? Besides it being too CGI because they have time to fix that with a year to go and they might even have parts of those sequence be practical like their doing with many of the other stunts.

People have been saying it looks too CG'd (which I don't see) but spider-neil just posted some encouraging news, that I've been thinking about all along. It definitely seems designed for the big screen and a small, off screen, low definition viewing just doesn't do it justice.

Thinkng ahead to a sequel, kraven; the last hunt with this dark tone would be epic, as would the death of gwen stacy.

Well, I caved.

I'm really digging everything so far. The tone seems very interesting, but not at all unexpected. It's just a question of how much you can take away from this. Personally, I thought that POV sequence was really cool. Overall a very effective teaser. Very well balanced.

I think we're all in for a real treat when we see this in HD. We're all making our opinions right now, but think of how much we're missing in such a low quality bootleg. I think many opinions will change for the better (even if already positive) early thursday morning and even more so after a visit to the movie theater. Anyone else agree?

If you don't like the trailer I doubt HD will change your mind. The trailer is about mood and drama and you get that with the bootleg. HD is neither here nor there for me I just want to see the quality of 3D at the cinema because like avatar I think it is a game changer.

Well I mean obviously anyone who outright didn't like it isn't going to be like "OMG HD footage makes this look amazing." I'm talking about the people complaining about the POV scene pretty much. I think the POV scene is going to blow minds.

Oh, and the Avengers teaser (while cool) looks so ridiculously standard, compared to this new fresh piece of spidey cinema, we've just seen! The FEEL of it is something else indeed, and that the low crappy quality can't even ruin.
I'm sorry, do you wanna run that by me one more time!? I'm sure you've made some MAJOR typos here

The Avengers teaser was awesome, let's not be silly here. I'd say The Amazing Spider-Man and The Avengers have both outclassed The Dark Knight Rises so far, but trailers don't mean **** if the film itself is subpar. I'd say, in terms of trailers, TA and TASM are about equal.

I think avengers will have us geeking out most but ASM will engage us more. I actually think ASM will be more engaging than even TDKR. I think Garfield is one of the best actors of his generation and will have us utterly gripped. The scene in social network where he finds out he has been screwed over and smashes zuckerberg's pc is incredible, intense and moving.

TDKR - rubbish trailer
Final shot of bane closing on a knackered batman - chills
