A projectionist on another site who has the trailer along with cap has said the low quality bootleg doesn't do the POV Justice, on the big screen in 3D it is MIND BLOWING. I.e 'YOU' are spider-man jumping and swinging in the big city

OMG But I'm afraid of heights! Can i still watch this movie??? :(

All kidding aisde that's great news.

I'll say this.......I still think Avatar is the best 3D film made to date (for obvious CGI reasons), and there were many great moments in that film when things would POP out at you. BUT one of the great moments is when Sam is running and he jumps off the cliff into the waterfall. Honestly, I do have a fear of heights, so not only could I never be a superhero (sigh :( ) but watching that specific moment made me gasp. I felt like I had just fallen over the cliff in real life!

THAT'S what I want to see and feel when watching Spider-Man.

Did anyone else really like the music in this trailer? The beginning was pretty dark/mysterious/strange, and the tune at the end was pretty darn heroic. I'm guessing this was 'trailer' music, but would be cool as part of the main score.

Also, it's hard to tell but
I wonder if the shot of him sitting down-back to us-is him sitting in webs? Remember Poni-Boy mentioned something about that.

Well then, kickass, I think you're in for a treat. Many cinematographers have said that this is the best film they've ever seen in terms of film and footage.

Absolutely, my heart sank when I saw the avatar QuickTime trailer for the first time, I was like 'this is a game changer?'. Fox make an avatar 3D day after the Internet backlash and oh my GOSH, in 3D on the big screen it is the best looking movie I gave ever seen. I suspect the same thing will happen for the POV, it is made for 3D and when people see the 3D trailer in theatres they will come out for this movie in their droves because no movie has given us that avatar 3D high since

Question about Parker's dialogue at the end...........

Is it meant to be obvious what he's alluding to when he says "............and the one's that are kept from us". ? Because I don't know of any secrets people are keeping from HIM (unless I'm misunderstanding his quote).

The music (and cinematography) in this movie is beautiful and thank goodness, I really disliked elfman's dull generic tones. In the first two movies the best of music I enjoyed most was the train sequence and I found out that wasn't e en elfman.

So is the music in the trailer an actual original score for this film? It isn't stock?

It's about his parents and what happened to them.

Well, he never knows why his parents left, or why they truly never returned. The quote could also be referring to Doctor Connors experiments and his alter ego. It could also just be referring to Peter's secret and how it is known to him but not known to everyone else, or, "us".

I took it as;
'Some of us have secrets' - myself/doc conners
'some of us gave secrets kept from us' - my parents

I hope this is the score, it's wonderful. I will be GUTTED if I see this movie and the score is different :(

This and the avengers trailer make the DKR look weak by comparison, Thursday is gonna ****ing rule!

For a teaser it was pretty well done. Nice editing and reveal of the (still not-great) costume and the basic plot details.

However, I'm still not sold on this take of the character (not just the suit). I'm all for a new vision for Spidey on film. Raimi's was good, but left a lot of room for improvement. But this looks like Sony instead of turning to the comics and mining different material to go "darker" (Kraven's Last Hunt, anyone?) has chosen instead to combine what they think is popular: the gritty, "realistic" reboot (most obviously Batman Begins and even Sony's own Casino Royale to an extent) and the teen angst-iness of the Twilight movies. Those disappointed with Raimi/Maguire's geeky and awkward Parker can feel relief that it is gone. In his place is an Eddy Cullen....err I meant Very Sullen ( :oldrazz: ) character that still isn't classic Pete. He seems moody, anguished and tortured by his parents untimely spy-y deaths (never my favorite story thread of the comics) and like a certain Nolan protagonist will have to come to grips with his anguish. Those looking for life-of-the-party smartass Pete will have to keep looking. While no longer a geek, he seems even more brooding.

Therefore until I see some awesome Lizard footage color me skeptical.

I think the Spider-Man movies are some of their better work actually.

I'm pretty confident they're proficient enough to make another really great model. Spider-Man 3 maybe many different things to different people one thing I think most of us can agree on that the effects were very impressive.

They still hold up. The Blu Ray is beautiful of this.
Agreed! All 3 films had amazing effects, and I'm confident as well.

During the avengers' trailer I was geeking out but during the ASM I was engaged following the plot points, it's like a mini movie. During the TDKR trailer I was bored but the final scene gave me chills.

If the 3D blows me away for this movie then I will get 3D tv. Also I bet any money Sony makes the 3D blu ray exclusive for their 3D tvs

Lost all credibility at the bolded point, but I'll humor you anyway. How are people coming to this conclusion that Peter is going to be all serious and brooding based on two minutes of footage? I'd also encourage you to key in on the Oscorp scene in the trailer where Peter acts like a child on Christmas morning when Gwen seemingly gives him the go ahead to snoop around.

The trailer was moody and grim, but that doesn't mean the whole film will be. Steve Klove has said that there will be naturalistic humor in the movie. Poni_Boy has also stated that in clips he has seen (presumably ones being shwon at SDCC) Peter is a little bit of a wiseass and has no trouble making fun of his opponents.

We need to stop jumping to conclusions here.

Agreed, though, I don't know about buying a 3D TV just yet. I'm perfectly fine with my Samsung 32 inch LCD HDTV, lol.

Remember a teaser is supposed to "tease" 4 years ago I remember Iron Man and The Dark Knight teasers coming out. I loved the hell out of Iron Man and hated TDK. For reason being, Iron Man showed footage and TDK was just a Bat Signal, lights and dialogue. Flash forward to December and TDK FULL trailer was out and I loved the hell out of it! IM trailer came out to but it just seemed like a longer teaser. To end, I saw TDK 6 times in theatres and saw IM once. (Though I loved that movie)

We cant judge the movie soley on teaser footage.

As much as I HATE the idea of this reboot and the fact we got screwed out of a 4th Raimi pic. The footage was good until that horiffic one person video game action 3D nonsense. Plus, the terrible the dialogue that followed. I know I shouldnt judge until we atleast get full trailer footage. Just reacting :)

I was VERY tempted after avatar but a mind-blowing Spidey would me me take the plunge. The funny thing is it was Spidey that made me buy a blu ray player and (I think) it was Spidey that made me buy a DVD player. Spidey has cost me a fortune :funny:

Excuse me, but what terrible dialogue?
