This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]377381[/split]
Toby didn't write the script so you can't really blame it on him.. He just did the character they gave him. They wrote a humorless, wooden Peter so he played it that way.My only gripe with the Sam Rami movies is that Spider-Man lacked a sense of humor. That's not really Sam's fault though, it was more Toby's fault. Now that I look back at the films, he was pretty much just phoning in his performance. Same with Kristin Dunst. Also I never understood Rami's decision to have Curt Conners in the movies but no lizard. Rami was hell bent on Vulture for some unknown reason.
We will see Ajendo! $400 million domestic is a lot.

I have just found possible proof that Connors helped create the spider that bit Peter.
In the trailer, we see this...
Before that, when Peter is helping Connors we see the same object on his desk. (Right side of the desk)
It might not be the same thing, but they look the same, don't they?
So wait...Connors creates Spider-Man??? Sandman killed Uncle Ben deja vu? Sounds too contrived...we'll see if they pull it off.
We dunno. Peter's Dad and Connors may have worked on the spider and then Peter helps Connors finish his own forumla which turns him into the Lizard.
Yeah, I noticed this myself. If you look at the green formula that Conners injects in himself and then in the end shot of Spiderman swinging into the lizard another green canister is at the base of the pylon.
Looks like the lizards plan is to turn people into lizards. Be a pure race, no imperfections at a guess.
I can't be bothered to link or find the photos so if anyone can be bothered feel free.
Does anybody konow who unmasks Peter in what appears to be the final battle? Well, if that's what happens.
^I thought the same as you davblue. I don't know how I feel about that
I think it's a shame they appear to be going down that route, Conners needs to become an animal not think about taking over the world although I seem to recall him wanting to turn people into lizards in the 90s cartoon.
Looks like he's going to transform I to the lizard on more than one occasion aswell judging by what gets said in the trailers but Conners needs to be in turmoil as to what he's done not relish it.
