They are also selling a cheaper version without the Funkos, etc.

Thanks God, saving on those import charges.

But will the cheaper version lack the book and the two movies?
And also, where are pre order links for the cheaper one?

Standard version available from HMV (£60) and Amazon UK (£58).

It may lack the book, however. Not sure.

I'm in the US, but thanks for the links. I'll see what I can find on Amazon US.

EDIT. I looked and I only see the full price version on Amazon US.
Assuming I could even play the UK version, wouldn't I have a problem with different HZ or something like that?
I have a UK DVD that I was able to turn into an MKV in my computer and that was the only way I could watch it.
No DVD or blu-ray player in the house would play it.

All of WB's Blu-Rays are region free and Blu-rays don't have that old PAL/NTSC problem.

It will basically be identical to the US release apart from a few packaging markings.

    Here is comparison someone made:

The remastered version looks great. Sometimes it looks almost too clear. Good that they are releasing this on Blu-Ray but I like the old blurry and dark picture. One thing I find it odd is that building around 0:45. It doesn't look as dark.

Look great... but I'll be keeping my DVD's.

EDIT: To clarify, I'm keeping my DVD's... but I am absolutely owning this set.

The vintage has nicer coloring and feel to it, and the restored edition lags behind a bit.

Looks great. Maybe a little too crisp, but looks great. It's almost like watching the intro for the first time.

The old images don't look this blurry when animated. Boy is that difference massive though.

I still need to see a clip from an episode. I don't think the opening is a good representation of what the episodes will look like

I hope they fix this issue. Alot of episodes are really dark in certain scenes

So that LEGO Super Villains game is going ok have some LEGO BTAS content. BTAS figures and LEGO were my absolute favorite toys growing up. Can’t wait to see them crossover like this. If they sell a BTAS LEGO set, I’ll be over the freakin moon

The 'Mask of the Phantasm' Blu-Ray is probably a good indicator of what the series will look like:

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm • US 1.33:1 Blu-ray vs. US 1.33:1 DVD

    Looks great, IMO.

MOTP was slightly different because it was meant for a theatrical release. The early BTAS episodes are more difficult to clean up.

The dark rim you're seeing there was a creative choice when they animated that episode. It lends an atmospheric, horror film aesthetic to the reveal shots of Man-Bat. There's nothing to be done about it as that's exactly how the cell looked.
