WOW!! Man thats a major asswhipping! Any pics of him vs Torch?
Did #14 hold up to the team up arc?#15 looks hella good.
It wasn't really a fight, Johnny was chasing Bp and got trapped in an asbestos cage.
^ LOL! right..
You have to give it to Hudlin for bringing back alot of old school obscure characters. He obviously has a love for comics and I really don't see the reason for all the hate against him.#10-14 were all great, the guy can truly write an entertaining story.I hear alot of love for Priest's run,I wouldn't know since I wasn't reading comics yet.But seriously,Hudlin is obviously doing something different here and I like it.
Picked up #14 finally.Very surprised. This one exceeded my expectations.
That was the one where he gets down on one knee and proposes to storm right? Yeah, it was a good one.
noice avvi, Anubis.
Yeah. My favorite part was the conversation with Luke Cage. The revelation about Storm's dad and his mother's relation to Malcom X rocked.
Putting aside all of the continuity complaints expressed by polsters on other boards, i really enjoy Hudlin's Black Panther. If nothing else, it delivers action packed stories and a panther who is always steps ahead of his opponents.
It was either New Avengers #1-6 or Black Panther #1-6 which I was going to get on ebay.
I really liked Hudlin's BP in #10-14 and I was really interested in this new origin and his use of obscure characters, which he does so well.So I chose this run instead.
New Avengers #1-6 seems pointless now since Bendis guaranteed this team would not be together after CW.
That was a cool little touch, if not cement Storms timeline.
So, T'Challa proposes to Storm in the most recent issue of Black Panther. It makes sense, there are only so many African American women characters in the Marvel Universe worthy of such an honour(heroines such as Storm or Photon-and i rule out Ms Rambeau because she's almost certainly a Catholic-does anybody realise that pre-flood New Orleans had the highest proportion of black Catholics in North America. I noted the part where one of the refugees was seen holding a rosary). and i doubt if his subjects would accept a white or even an Oriental woman as their King's consort.
|The only question is: will she accept? SHOULD she accept?
Nice touch that.
I have a mild issue with the amount of chasing he had to do on the topic.
Of course being Marvel if it lasts she won't be pregnant if at all for about a decade.
I think Wakandans will be far more worried whether she´s a virgin.
All those years walking the earth from Egypt to the Kilimanjaro, then a long stay at Xavier´s with all those healthy and sexually available males at arm´s reach...
Incidentally, what´s T´chala´s view on that %$&# tradition of excising women?
The flashbacks were so effective.I honestly felt like I was watching part of a movie or something. His talk with his dad,him and his buddy fighting each other, and him and Storm parting.Good stuff.
We don't know enough about Wakandan society to know if they share such a conservative view.
Well, the invitations go out in issue 16 and quite a bit gets taken care of. They finally officially mention BP's time as an Avenger. They mention the former relationship with Forge, as well as showing his feelings on the whole thing. A few of BP's oldest villains appear, Storm meets her Grandparents for the first time, who promptly beat the hell out of some Hydra agents. Over all, a pretty good issue.
Storms Grandparents whooped on some Hydra agents?
Yeah, Just a question. Do you think Black Panther and Storm will have a kid, will it be a mutant? Also I was thinking do you think Black Panther's powers will increase now that he is with storm? I mean she can control weather and he has enhanced strength (not even super human)? I think it would be cool to have his powers increased.
I don't think they'll have a kid anytime soon, and I like BP's powers level the way it is.
