Gotham The Official Camren Bicondova is Selina Kyle Thread

What's wrong with different interpretations though?. As long as the core characteristics of the characters don't change it will be the same Selina Kyle we see in 10 years.

As Kane said Selina had a childhood she didn't one day wake up and suddenly become Catwoman. Like i said just a few posts ago I personally can't wait see their relationship develop over the years.

There is nothing wrong with changes, reimaginings, and so on. However, there is nothing wrong with people not liking changes and reimaginings.

I'm glad you can't wait to see the relationship between a young Bruce and Selina, but for me, that's one of the most off putting things about this show, as it comes off as a cheap gimmick, as does the use of the rest of the Batman villains, in my opinion.

Why? Why is it "gimmicky" to use Gotham characters in a show about Gotham and it's history? Please explain that to me?

It's only a "gimmick" because it's something they don't like. :o

You're right, this isn't a Batman series. It's a cop show using Batman characters as a gimmick to draw viewers in.

My point is, if it ever got to a point where we did see this universes Batman and Catwoman, the dynamic will be completely different due to those characters growing up with each other. For example, instead of Batman letting Catwoman go because of this attraction he has for her, he'll let her to because they've got history, and because they grew up together, which changes the classic Batman/Catwoman dynamic.

Doesn't sound like a particularly big change to me. He can still be attracted to her even if they'd already met before.

And let's be honest, there's probably some humor to be found in Bruce hitting puberty while hanging out with Selina.

And I think they might focus the relationship on making Bruce consider that some people and criminals are less evil fiends who haunt dark alleys and more desperate men and women in need of help from the Gotham criminal culture that preys upon the weak.

I think a couple of years older definitely an early teen. Bruce is supposed to be 12.

The fact that Selina is in the show is actually the hook for me. My second favorite character in the Batman universe, next to Batman himself. As a supporting character she brings out the most interesting human elements of the character in ways that even Alfred and Robin cannot. We've never had them develop a relationship in live action over a period of time like this show might show us and that is something long overdue regardless of their ages. I was against Clark meeting Lois before he became Superman but they did it in Smallville and then MOS and I ended up loving it. I'd rather Selina here, who the audience will have a long standing fondness for be used than someone like Rachel Dawes.

This Gotham series could lead to either Tim Burton's Batman movies or Chris Nolan's Batman movies. Camren's resemblance to Michelle Pfeiffer helps and I wonder what Pfeiffer's reaction is to her casting.

So she's 14 cool or Michelle Pfeiffer is getting younger.

I could see Alfred make some sort of comment/joke to Bruce about what happens when you feed a stray cat. Either after her first official meal at the manor or after he catches Bruce giving her food.

Is it just me or are her eyes somewhat freakishly apart? Reminds me of that blonde at the bar in Inception.

^You're not the only person who's noticed that. She's been compared numerous times to the creature in Splice. :/

She's going to be on all kinds of surgery and drugs when she's older, thanks to our inherit trait of cruelty :o

If her career is successful, I'm sure she won't give a crap what a bunch of people on online message boards think. For all she knows, we all look like Sloth from The Goonies. And in some cases, I'm sure she'd be right. :o

"Hey, You Guyyyyyyyysssssssss!"

So, they've confirmed Falcone for the show, while Batman Eternal seems to be offering yet another possible biological father/mob boss for Catwoman in the form of Rex Calabrese, the "Lion." Anybody want to see her family history show up in the program?

Always liked the Falcone link. TLH, DV and When In Rome should be gospel as part of Batman canon.
