This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]503799[/split]
But didn't there have to be some room for some kind of performance, I mean imagine if Tom Hardy had to cover his face with Bane's Knightfall mask.

I personally think the mask is crucial to his look. It gives him a swave confidence. The dude can rock the fuscia.

Johnny-Oh and Talisman explained MCU ULTRON really well and gave all the reasons Joss made him that way.
I still think a lot of the problems with Ultron would have been solved if they didn't insist on giving him facial expressions. When Ultron first shows up in that Stark drone he's legitimately creepy. Once he gets eyeballs and a mouth everything that was unsettling about him is gone.
A great performance can be conveyed by voice and and body movements alone.
Look at Scarlett Johansson as Samantha in "Her" or Bill Irwin as TARS in "Interstellar". There's also classic performances like Anthony Daniels as C-3PO and Douglas Rain as HAL 9000.
All of those actors turned in good to great performances while playing characters that couldn't make facial expressions or move their lips. In the cast of Samantha from "Her" she doesn't even have a body.
I'm sorry but no. It always gives me flashes of that Fat Albert kid.

Every time I defend something I like in these movies, you get all upset about it.
No need to call people names and accuse them of being defensive fanboys etc.
"Fat Allbert Kid"???? How dare you!! His name is Dumb Donald!!!! Never forget it!!!1!!!11!!!!![]()
Whiskey youre calling him a "cartoon robot" while your choice of how he shouldve been is exactly that. Youd pick the cliche version because you dont understand anything except one kind of robot.
The Terminator was a cyborg (a killer robot w/ one specific function covered in skin). ULTRON is not a cyborg. Hes an artificial intelligence inside a metal structure that looks like a robot. Thats why he made features and isnt a dull bot. Theres a difference chief. Do I have to teach a class on this? I really dont want to.
"Grow up" Ok "Wrestling is fake cartoon nonsense" fan. I will do that.
