That suit had the boots, they just weren't painted yet.
I pretty much agree with this sadly.
I was hoping for some clever design in the crotch area to make up for the lack of red trunks. They just haven't bothered to use their imagination at all.
Of course I would've just stuck with the classic look, but there ya go.
I'll admit that suit would probably had work back in the 90s. It definitely went with the suits from Shumacher's Batman.
I actually don't think they were meant to be red, because if you look at the maquette by Peters, and the concept art, the boots aren't red (though on the concept art, they're in shadow).
So what if he does? He's entitled to his opinion.
Learn to respect others even if you don't agree with it around here. Or else.
His hair looks perfect....I'm sure the suit will look great in the end aswell
Is it a bad thing that it took me almost 5 minutes to find Henry in this photo?
As dark and smokey as you may remember snyder movies appearing, they were also high contrast and saturated. Red was very strong, blue was very strong. Darks were dark and similarly brights were very bright(especially in 300). Moreover all the work you seem to be referencing is Larry Fong photography, Snyder has one of the best DOP's ever working on this, and nothing against Fong(he played a big hand in making those past films enjoyable) but this one will different for this fact alone.
MOREOVER, the films you again were referencing were adaptations of dark novels or material. I mean Snyders last film took place inside of a tortured mind in a brothel and ww2 and what not. It's not about a suicidal war effort it's not about the ugly side of superheros during the Regan era. It's about superman it will be very warmly shot of that I'm sure. Moreover, it won't be shot instudio so it will have tons of natural light, especially on the plano location.
What you think you know of Snyders look might surprise you come trailer time. And to be honest I've rarely seen a more darkly shot superhero film that Singers superman. Even when it was supposed to be bright it was overcast...
Well, as long as Snyder doesn't add that god awful sepia color filter on this film like Singer did with his, then that allows more room for the suit to come off as more radiant..I think.
It is because it goes to show how dark the suit's colours are.
Btw, what colour is the belt? In the comics they made it red to substitute for the lack of pants but i think its gold in the movie.
It's pretty obvious at this point that they are going with this suit, the belt buckle was in the promo pic.
It actually works for me.
Look for the bulge. O.O
It's hard to say what the belt looks like. I'm just going to wait for them to release a more clear photo of the suit.
Not sure if this has been posted..if it has..sorry.
why are there glossy thing on his thighs???????? for what purpose?
Why must there be a purpose? It's most likely just a design feature that they thought improved the overall look.
Better off waiting til we get a clear look at the whole suit to see it they fit in nicely.
This pretty much how the suit will look like in the film.
Looks good to me. The red may be a bit lighter though.
There's no red in the mid area. And there's no belt strap.
Think of it as a "Where's Waldo?" with superheroes. t:
I just hope the suit is ripped at the end
There's reason why the spiderman films always feel like they have more engaging conflicts than the marvel studio films. Thors suit looks better with each fight.
That's HankTheTurtle's from EyesSkyward. He's done a few similar manips, all beautiful work, but for me this one illustrates perfectly why the trunks are necessary. What's that going to look like in general motion? Too much junk very visible for my liking I'm afraid. It's one thing in a comic, entirely another when it's jiggling about in your face.
As it was originally "Where's Wally" I'd say "Where's Willy" more like. Oops there it is right in front of you.
If you don't like certain posters, simple solution. Add them to your Ignore list. We'll take care of any issues that should arise from there.
Now back to the topic at hand, i.e. the costume(s)...
Yeah you can be sure Snyder will be pumping up the colors and making everything MUCH more rich and vibrant in the final film. At least if his previous couple movies are anything to go by.
