The Official Dean Cain Thread

Hes playing a random one-shot in a Chloe episode. He doesnt deserve a thread.

dean cain desserves a way more important role in smallville, not some lame random doctor in episode 4.

booooooooooooooo.

I just hope he doesnt get killed in a stupid way by the episode's end like most of the random evil doctors of the week do on SV.

Like Clark accidently pushes him onto a needle of lethal drugs.

dean better have at least one scene with tom welling.

although i'm guessing tom will be busy with kara and dean will be dealing with chloe...

ugh. dean cain guest stars in a chloe-centric episode. :csad:

what a waste.

I'm sure he has a scene with Tom. Deans the villian; meaning Tom will have to kill him or whatever.

And probably save Chloe.

Here we go, judging the whole thing again on a few little tid bit spoilers that have been released. :whatever:

Ya know, we could actually see Clark turn him around to being a good guy, who wants to help meteor freaks.

Hey! We're sharing the brain this week, avid. :D

That's exactly what I was thinking. I don't believe Deano will be a cut-n-dry Bad Guy. There will be something.. either a sob backstory, or he will come to see the light (thanks to a certain boyscout in primary colors).

I'm excited to see him and I'm certainly not an L&C fan. I just find the Superman connection to be a cool thing.

:yay:

I would have liked to have seen him play a more important role, maybe not quite on the same level as say Dr Swan but important never the less. This role does seem to be a throw away role with no meaning or importance but lets wait and see what happens. they might surprise us and give us an excellent episode deserving of any actor who's played the man of steel.

well A&G did say that they were holding out for the right role to come along for dean cain on smallville.

let's hope they live up to their word. :o

How on earth do you know this is a throw away role?

We haven't even seen it yet....

Unless there's something in the spoilers that's making you think that (I wouldn't know since I'm trying to stay largely spoiler free), I think you're jumping the gun a bit.

Exactly!

Don't assume Al & Miles are complete fools, although the way they view the show sometimes makes me wonder....

Imo Swann was the only stunt cast done right and handled properly.

The 'right roles' for Margot Kidder and Lynda Carter were wrong.

But the good thing is even if they give Dean a lame role; it wouldnt make a difference; he was still a crappy Superman. He doesnt deserve a role anywhere close to Swann anyway.

Triplet, i think you might have misread my message and jumped the gun a little yourself.
I never claimed to KNOW that it was a throw away role. I said it SEEMS like a throw away (that's only my impression from what i've read so far) and i even went on to say "BUT LETS WAIT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS" So i'm more than happy to reserve judgement until after i've seen the episode.

Hope this has cleared things up for you :woot: :woot:

people need to look up what "stunt casting" means. Reeve wasnt 'stunt casting" he was cameod because he was a Superman alumnus. He has a tie to the series other than just being famous.

Carrie Fisher,Tori Spelling, and to a lesser extent Lynda Carter are examples of stunt-casting. Reeve, Kidder, and Cain are not. (as much as I detest Cain and his presence on the show)

Dean's people as well, have been saying that he "wants to appear, but is waiting for a good role." so it sounds like it's something where if the role wasn't good, he wouldn't do it. I thought Cain was an awesome Clark Kent. Can't wait to see him on Smallville. Hopefully it's a strong episode.

wow strong hypocrite

:whatever:

I'm a hypocrite am I?

Would you like to point out how you come to that conclusion? I dont believe that I make a habit of passing negative judgement on the show until I've seen the episode air.

And what did I ever do to you, that always compels you to respond to any of my posts in such a derogatory manner.

*I think I'll just put you back on my IL.*

Ironically enough, I've actually noticed that you've remained quite positive about the upcoming season. Glad i'm not the only one trying to keep the glass half full. :)

Glass is always half full for me. :yay:

wow strong hypocrite
Was that supposed to be a sentence?
Avid's certainly not a hypocrite, but perhaps she is really strong. I'd have to arm-wrestle her first. I'll let you know.

You're on. :cwink:

I'm just happy that Dean Cain is FINALLY on the show! Hopefully we'll get something good.
