They just announced a new Devil May Cry game at TGS called DMC. It's being developed by Ninja Theory and the trailer showed a younger Dante.
After browsing here and there, saw his name is Tim Phillipps
Nothing else about him
ProjectPat is right on. Tim Phillipp is playing the hell out of this role. To the point where I think this guy should be in the top billing films of Hollywood. It's a sin that he isn't getting more roles.
He honestly reminds me of a young Christian Bale.
He's great, and a great fit for the new Dante, but I don't think he's holding it as best Dante voice for me, at least not yet
The nuance and subtly he brought to the role is unmatched by any actor in any video game role period. At least that's how I see it.
I hope with all faith behind me that Phillips gets more meaty roles in films because he performed the heck out of this role to the point where it really does resonates wholly.
Ya know, I think I agree man. He has been flawless and I do mean flawless with this character.
So, did you unlock anything after you beat the game, besides SoS mode?
Yes! Finally defeated Nelo Angelo! Booyah!
I unlocked an alt skin.
And beat Devil May Cry. It was great to be able to go back and finish a classic. Now on to Devil May Cry 3. Never tried to beat it with Vergil. I guess it's about damn time.
No cheating, play Devil May Cry 2 first
^ The final battle, where you basically aquire the power of Sparda, is my favorite moment in the first game. I felt like a really powerful badass when I was flying and fighting Mundus.
As for Vergil, it is fun to play with him, but I still think Dante is much better.
As soon as they release Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne on PSN, I will. I've made that the official sequel in my book. It's kinda like MGS2, we play as a rookie, who is tasked to save the day, and watch the hero being badass with our newbie eyes. It makes total sense.
I forgot so much about the game, it was like playing it for the very first time again. I think I haven't played that game in over 7 years, maybe longer.
Beat SOS and just got normal DmC dante without his jacket skin. Maybe the DMC 3 skin is download only? Bummer.
I sometimes read it's DLC, but then I wonder how the IGN guys got it.
that seem's to be the case
Dress DmC Dante Like Classic Dante.January 18, 2013 . 1:39am
Don’t like Dante’s new look? You can get a Classic Dante costume on January 30. This gives Dante his crimson red trench coat and silver hair.
it's capcom after all.
Is it just standard Dante without his coat? Grey tank top, black pants and gloves? In the images iv seen it looks like he's wearing some kind of black shirt.
Yea ill be buying that pack. Pretty much gonna just throw money at Capcom. This game is worth it.
Didn't realize this game already came out. Flew right over my head.
Well, it is good to see that the extra skins for Dante are viewable in cutscenes. That's a big plus for me with any game that has skins. I was always let down the old games never did that. So the earn points there.
Yeah same thing, its not black. Dont think its any different then when you start at the intro. If it is its minimal. Maybe the black shirt is another unlockable or part of the DLC pack.
Awesome. Yea that's the alt I was hoping it was. Love the tank top sans coat look.
From everything I looked online, these are the only unlockable costumes in the game: Dante with white hair and Coatless Dante with white hair. When you beat DMD mode, you get a perk, which enables the unlimited Devil Trigger, but there is a cost: it reduces by 50% your score in the end of the level.
There are some videos on Youtube that proves that.
Nice! Any word on Heaven and Hell mode or Hell mode perks?
