The Official Goku/Justin Chatwin Thread

Dende says it. When they're using the namekian Dragonballs to bring Goku to earth.

Ohhh, I think I remember now. He was talking about how Porunga could be summoned in half the time as Shenron. That I remember, for sure.

how long did the jabba namek last?

Guru?

...lol

Well, he had to have been at least 300 years old(and probably much older), seeing as he and Kami were the only known survivors of their race's extinction.

Hmm, it's funny how the Saiyans suffered a similar fate to the Namekians. Luckily for the Namekians, though, Guru was able to repopulate the planet and start anew. He became a Namekian egg machine.

I always wished Guru could have unlocked Goku and Piccolo`s full potential like he did for Dende,Krillin and Gohan

I always got a kick out of watching how Akira Toriyama had to continue overwriting his own ideas when it came to Gohan's hidden power. First it was Guru, then it was Super Saiyan 2, then it was Rou Kaioshin's unleashing of his true potential.

Each one of them were intended to be the unlocking of his hidden power. It becomes so obvious that he wanted to end the series more than once, and the fans just wouldn't let him, lol.

Yeah, seems that way. Gohan totally sucked in the alternate timeline/unsanctioned universe known as GT. Gohan was supposed to surpass all the Z fighters and become the God of Fighting, but they screwed him up and turned him into Clark Kent, glasses and all.

If only he could have taken the lead and became the new Hero of DB as he was supposed to!

It was a shame he wasn't allowed that which was due to him. He was definitely the strongest guy at the end of the day, but the spotlight of Earth's savior was stolen from him.

They started off on a great note and things were going okay. He'd let himself become weak in the eight years since his defeat of Cell, then it was time for him to leave behind his casual Earthling life and harness his true potential to take his father's place as the champion of Earth.

His story in the Majin Buu Saga, to awaken his hidden power, should have been just like Goku's journey in the Saiyan Saga. And it was, until he got absorbed like some chump and became nothing more than a new face on Super Buu for Vegetto to punch the living daylights out of.

Vegetto was cool, hilarious, and everything, but that was Gohan's battle.

Yeah, I can still remember how pissed I was when I first saw those episodes, and after all that build up, Gohan was just absorbed... urgh.

Yeah but at least he wasn't as completely pointless and lame as Goten, Trunks 2.0.

The point of gohan's character was obviously to give piccolo a friend/son he's never had. That dynamic was powerful. Maybe they'll use it in the movie.

Don't remind me of kid trunks :(

Totally shamed the Trunks name. Future Trunks was the most badass. Or so I think ;)

I wish Future Trunks didn't go back to the future. It would have been awesome to see him take on buu; Maybe even a possible fusion with Gohan. I would rather have seen that then chibi Trunks and Goten fusing.

Oh my god I honestly never even considered that. My heart is like, breaking thinking about the possibilities of a Gohan Trunks fusion........ arghhhh. That would have been awesome.

I seriously have cursed the fact Trunks went back to his crappy future soo many times haha. He visited for that one movie once, why the hell couldn't he have come back NUMEROUS times!

i hope fusion never makes the light of day in the movie franchise

That's why I want a Broly movie instead of a movie based on Majin Buu. That way we won't have any pink villains or wannabe heroes.

A Broly movie? The first Broly movie was fine, but the 2 others were HILARIOUSLY bad.

The one with Goten and Trunks was enjoyable...Then again I haven't watched it in years...

The original Broly movie had a really intriguing story but I don't remember much of the action.

Once again, I was like 10 when I watched it last so probably disappointed from lack of reaching my "random explosion" quota per hour or something.

After re-watching it for the first time in like 8 years the Bojack movie still holds up as my favorite, though.

Yes, although it did jump the shark with the whole "Goku comes back from the dead and punches Bojack in the face" deal. But the fanboy inside me will let that slide.

True. I'll never forget the part when he punches the henchmen and they simply explode...brilliant.

Professor, I hope you don't mind I stole your signature.
