The Official Goku/Justin Chatwin Thread

That'd be pretty stupid to me, the Androids & Cell could all fit into one movie, I doubt we'd need two movies for the both of them, that's just making an unnecessary amount of movies. At least that's how I feel.

Hell, you could get rid of the Androids all together and make Cell a creation that is already in his perfect form. That's what I'd do. I know it isn't a faithful translation but you can't do the Android/Imperfect/Perfect/Cell Games sagas justice in one movie.

Explain to me how we could possibly fit androids, Cell, and Cell games into one movie. Cause if you want it to be semi-decent and not span over 2 and a half hours, you'll make it into two or more movies.

I know having a movie where the prime threat is androids, and the movie ends with them finding out there is a bigger threat would be awesome.

I don't think that Cell would be able to 'share' a movie with the androids either. Not without making the android's role virtually pathetic and/or more of a cameo.

Which would be bad.

Thank you.

Agree completely. They would need seperate movies to do them justice.

I'm pretty sure if the Freeza saga movie were ended with Goku returning to Earth & learning of the Androids, the next movie could focus on the Androids, Cell, & the Cell Games. All Wong & crew would need to do would be to translate all of the major parts into the movie. A little over 2 & a half hours would be perfect (at least 2 hours & 45 minutes).

If the movie was ultra long 2.5+ hours then I could see it maybe being successful. I would still prefer it to be two movies. But I doubt Fox would make a movie that long costing so much unless it was a sure to make tons of money. Then again, if DB/Z gets that far it would likely have to be a money maker, so, ya never know.

It wouldn't need to be an ultra long movie, it'd just need to capture the important parts of each story. I still get the feeling they'll end up making two movies but if they do, the world's gonna keep on spinnin'.

Androids aren't necessary in a film IMO.

Strongly disagree, but whatever.

Well, even though you disagree, this could still all be put into one movie, all Wong & crew would have to avoid would be fitting a bunch of unnecessary stuff into the movie so that it isn't too long & so that the important elements of the story aren't left out of the movie.

I still say just introduce Cell in his already perfect form. Have him call his Cell games, and there's your movie. If you put too much into a film you'll wind up with Spider-Man 3. And a 2 hour 30-45 minute movie is too long to sit through for most people, although I'd gladly do it for DBZ.

That's the dumbest idea yet, you have to explain how he came to be, otherwise you'll get a movie that's not well received. Then you have a bunch of questions from people who don't know too much about DBZ. Who's Trunks? Who's Cell? Why is he holding a tournament? I could go on & on, there's too much against that idea, which is why it won't be used.

So I started to make a reply saying how it could work, but as I was typing it, I realized...yeah, your right :woot:. Way to much confusion would take place. I have a vague idea of how it MIGHT be able to work, but I couldnt put it into words really if that makes sense.

Well, Cell is Dr. Gero's creation. There's your origin. He was made to destroy Goku. Instead, Cell destroys Dr. Gero and needs to satisfy his thirst for battle by holding a tournament. You could even still have Vegeta/Trunks try to fight him before they realize they'll need to train more.

To explain Trunks, let's say he comes from the future because Cell is running around destroying everything, and not the Androids. It's a pretty simple substitution.

Don't get me wrong, I want them to stick with the source material and keep the Androids, I just don't see how you can introduce Trunks, the Androids, Cell (and his 3 forms), and have the Cell games in one movie. The Androids would only get 30 minutes if that.

They could try and tighten up the whole saga a bit (maybe have the androids actually do something besides go on a road trip, take out the whole cell games idea and have Goku and Gohan come out and fight Cell right after they get out of the HBTC). That would cut it down some, plus I was never a big fan of the whole Cell games idea so I wouldn't mind if they cut it out but thats just me.

In honestly, if it even gets to that point, I really think they would end up just scraping the androids all together....

That's still a pretty horrible idea.

I know. It's a really great story, I'm just not sure it can be done justice in one movie. Unless you cut out the Cell games and just make Cell a normal enemy who they all fight in one big battle.

Sacrifices sometimes need to be made. I wouldn't really miss the Android story line. So if FOX keeps producing "Dragon Ball" films and it makes it that far in the storyline the Androids would most likely be removed and like Trunks6 suggested Cell would be the only one kept.
