I love the artwork I've seen for Gotham High and think it would have been a great show. The same people against it probably love Elseworlds stories like Gotham By Gaslight. This show would have just been a fun Elseworld's throwaback to 80's/90's animated series such as Galaxy High School.

 

Comparing Gotham high to Gotham by gaslight? Really? I guess you would also compare High School Musical to The Dark Knight, since both of them are movies.

 

Only towards the super cereal fans.

I'd love to see it.

 

GBG was awesome. Period!

 

the dude has the right not to like GBG, but it's not in the same league as gotham high.

 

We all have our tastes, sure...

I'd watch the hell out of Gotham High.

 

I saw in the most recent TV Guide an advertisement for their special SDCC issues. One of the covers they have is Batman on one side, and a comic book-style illustration of this show's Gordon, Bullock and Bruce on the other.

I love 'Gotham By Gaslight'. And I love 'Brave And The Bold' just as much as I do Timm's series. Gotham High could have been a fun light hearted show aimed at a younger audience but that doesn't mean it would have been a bad show. My point is that I could enjoy it on an Elseworlds kind of level.

Very nice. I'm still quite surprised about the negativity surrounding this series. This just looks good...

 

I really don't think there's a whole lot of genuine negativity. All the people/journalists I've seen on twitter who have actually seen the pilot have given it good to decent reviews. Everything else just seems to me like typical fanboy b****iness of "Oh, they're doing something different with a character than how we've already seen it a thousand times? HOW DARE THEY!!!"

 

I feel like this show will be split in awesome/bad.

Gordon, Bruce, Bullock, NYC, Corrupt Cops, and maybe Penguin; awesome...

Riddler, Fish, Ivy, Catwoman, forced comic nods, etc. being 'children' or brought in too early into these reboot mythos; bad...

 

Nope. Riddler's gonna be great.

 

Penguin definitely works for me and I don't mind what i'm seeing with Kyle and Bruce.

 

It just feel weird that Catwoman will have been at it for like 20 years by the time Bruce dons his cape...

 

They say Penguin's the best highlight of the pilot.

 

Meh! He's ok, but he's pretty much everybody's b**** in the episode specially...
