I'd like something simpler like John's costume(& hairstyle) from JLU, but this is a faaaar better look than Hal's(Not just the horrible movie. Hal's costumes from the books suck pretty bad too). I hope this is concept art for JL, because if they use John instead of Hal this will be one DC movie I MUST see.

No, Hal's costume is far better than that. That's not a bad design, but Hal's is much more balanced than that top-heavy design.

    He needs a belt.

And I wonder who the art teams are going to be? I like the idea of Tomasi on GL, and it pretty much assures that I'll give the new run a shot, but I'd love it if Gleason came with him. Their run on Green Lantern Corps was fantastic.

And I'll read I, Vampire one of these days. I read the Justice League Dark crossover and it seemed decent but I wasn't that impressed. I know that was the low point of JLD... was that true with I, Vampire as well?

I think you meant to say "boring" instead of "balanced". I think there's a good reason they didn't use Hal's normal costume in the movie. It's just unfortunate the costume they did use was even worse. Hal's never really had a great costume IMO.

The Gil Kane Hal Jordan design is considered one of the great, classic, timeless costumes in all of comics.

brainchild just doesn't like Hal Jordan for whatever reason, so he chooses to dislike everything about him.

Hal's costume is fine. What they SHOULD have done in the movie is pretty much recreate that costume using the same material from Spider-Man or Fantastic Four (the FF costumes were one thing I think that movie did very well), and then add CGI "glow" to it when he was really using the ring.

Most Lantern costumes aren't that great to begin with. The tiny green mask & white gloves don't help
lol I could turn that around & say that you like Hal for whatever reason so you choose to like everything about him.

I think he just started writing Demon Knights. Haven't read it though. That was his DC debut.

I'll make the decision when the time comes but I'm thinking this might be my time to say adios to the Lantern line. I want to see the stories coming with Hal first but if the solicitations and interviews don't interest me then I might just drop the book. We'll see.

Yeah, we'll see. With the exception of when I have had to drop comics altogether due to financial reasons, I have been reading at least Green Lantern (sometimes GL Corps or other GL-based books) since Rebirth, but I guess I will just have to see how it goes. I am VERY limited to what I can buy each month, and with the upcoming X-Men and Snyder/Lee Superman books, things are getting tempting.

He has and it's actually been even better under his pen than it ever was under Cornell's (who is no slouch). I think he's a good pick and I really like that they also put Fialkov on the book that his style will work on the most which is also the book that could use a fresher perspective (Red Lanterns) in addition to GLC.

I officially now have some reasons to get back into the GL books after being burned out on them thanks in part to Johns' "event leads to another event which leads to another event that in turn sets up another event" formula.
