I think some of the corps could use some minor retooling, especially after looking through those "secret files" pages on BN#0. Have you noticed...for all the diversity we see in the books, virtually every single significant Green Lantern is human-shaped. Not just humanoid, but human-shaped. Maybe human-shaped people just look like they have better willpower? And then there's like no human-shaped Red Lanterns at all other than Laira and the skele-woman when -- I mean when you really think about it -- humans are very, very easily-associated with anger.

And the less said about the Star Sapphires......not only are they 99% human-shaped, not only are they all female, but apparently they're also all mammals.

That was an interesting read. I had no idea there was any connection between the lanterns and that "Seven Rays" stuff.

So I missed free comic book day . How was Blackest Night #0?

The same way anyone comes up with ****** rhyming poetry: he just thought of words that sounded cool and kinda rhymed with each other, and strung them together.

I don't know. Seeing Sinestro in a father role in the preview was interesting. You know that he's going back to green when this is said and done.

Savior of the galaxy? Sure. But they wouldn't make him a GL after he created his own spinoff corps that was specifically made to destroy GL's.

God, same here. I am so .. pissed off ! For a moment I hoped, thought, that Iolande was the girl, and I was really surprised they would go this way.
It seems that, in the end, all is boring and cliché and for one of the first time, I do not give a ***** about it.

Without being cynical or anything, without being desillusional, I had great hopes when I heard about Rage of the Red Lantern or the Blackest Night, but in the end, right here, right now ... I begin to feel deceived. I was excited because the potential of the story is huge and it seems (judging things without having read the very 1st page of the B.Night) that things are not as good as I expected.
Expecting something from a comic or a movie is never a good thing, but the scope of this event was so amazing, I could not help myself. For now .... I'm a bit deceived. Wait and see. I would love to change my opinion on the subject.

You know Natu was basically the only candidate from the start, right? Iolande isn't even a Korugarian.

Actually, only two of the new corps are referred to as "Lanterns". People who say things like this obviously haven't even bothered to look past the covers and the things they read on Newsarama to even know what the stories are about.
