I was listening to "Poker Face" when all of a sudden I got this crazy image in my head of Lady GaGa as Harley Quinn.

I'd love a Harleen Quinzell and Jeremiah Arkham reference in Batman 3.

Have you seen the video for "telephone"? Its basically Ivy and Harley busting out of prison! :awesome:

Seriously, Gaga is probably a real life Harley, but i doubt she can act, no to mention that she is very ugly.

now now, she isn't THAT ugly. on a morbid note, i looked up at the poll and i was going to vote brittany murphy only to remember what a mistake i nearly made :csad:

[FONT=&quot]I've been following this thread for a while and thought I should throw my two cents in...

Haha, this is kind of ironic - you're suggesting people need to see a certain season of a low-rated TV show to see your candidate's talent, while you've obviously never seen the season of another low-rated TV show that has garnered so much support for Bell. No one could watch the whole of Season 1 of Veronica Mars, see the emotional rollercoaster her character gets put through, and call that girl "untalented." And if you don't believe us, go back and read the reviews for it - Bell put in one of the finest and most layered performances to grace the small screen in the last decade, imo. And she was pretty darn good in Spartan, Reefer Madness, and her guest spots on Deadwood and The Shield, too, so I'd hardly say VM was a fluke. She's just making s****y movies right now, unfortunately.

Kristen Bell would make a great candidate; however, while we're talking about actresses on low rate shows, I can't help but suggest Bethany Joy Galeotti of One Tree Hill fame for the role of Harley Quinn.

It would be logical for the writers to gravitate towards someone who exhibits a level of innocence and charisma while being serious and Bethany Joy Galeotti would be perfect. Also she's shown an affinity to action films and plans to do one in the near future so...

Oh and she's curvy and has amazing hair . </shallow>

But I doubt Harley's going to even be featured in the next film without Joker. Although, it sure is fun thinking up possibilities.

i think the way harley could be in the next movie without joker is to have an intro to harley and have a flashback of heaths joker (played by a body double?) being brought into arkham and just have harley doing a voice over on the whole flashback (since heath ledger isnt available for any voice over) explaining how she fell in love with him...thats all i have as far as harley without joker goes...

I can't see Harley been in the movie with no Joker.

I agree. Harley wouldn't even exist without the Joker, which is a shame really because I thought Harley had quite a good chance of appearing in the third film if Joker was going to be in Arkham.

If Harley was to appear in the third film alongside the Joker (I know what the Empire article said, I just have this weird feeling that it is not as clear cut as everyone assumes it to be), I think the quickest, easiest and most realistic way to show her descent from sane psychologist into insane accomplice would be for her to develop stockholm syndrome towards the Joker. He could kidnap her and tell her one of his sob stories, something to which she can relate to and sympathise with, thus the bond between them is formed.

Joker would obviously take advantage of her and would probably show her off to Batman, kind of as a "look what I've done" with my handiwork. Batman would probably want to "save" Harley from the Joker because of his failure to save Harvey Dent. Batman wouldn't want Joker to get away with corrupting another mind.

Harley should come across as being quite innocent whilst at the same time being dangerous and unpredictable, which is why I think Kristen Bell would be good to play her.

Since we will probably be getting Riddler as the main villain, I dont think it would be a bad idea to give him his own side-kicks.

Keep Riddler away from any alliances with the mob,and have him working mysteriously and independently with Echo and Query. But give them a dark make over, make them like Amanda and Hoffman to Jigsaw. Helping Riddler out with his crimes and traps, etc.

I don't think Riddler really requires side-kicks. He should be arrogant enough to think he can outsmart Batman unassisted and it should be this arrogance which leads to his downfall.

Thats true. No way does he need them, but I dont think it would do any harm. I think it would create more of a frightening vision to him,to see these 2 mysterious woman protecting him. Cause Riddler is a cowardly runt, and he only confidently taunts back when he is surrounded by his goons,or standing behind a trap. You bring him more out of his shell and make him public if he has somebody with him,if he is working solo, I doubt he will go anywhere near Batman. Maybe through recorded messages, and on the phone,or standing confidently nearby, seeing Batman is in a trap.

I dont think he will be in an alliance with the mob,as thats too similar to Joker. I think its more realistic, and also truer,to having him working alone, but having 2 henchwomen help him out.

I think the only way to make Riddler frightening is to play on his image. A normal, but not good looking, small framed guy, wearing a nice posh Green suit. But to have him surrounded by disturbing and mysterious goons, his lair a nice posh expensive room, but transformed into a disturbing environment filled with traps and innocent child games and puzzles. Riddler walks about pleased with the fact his intelligence can grant him the freedom to do whatever he wants.

I never have understood why anyone would seriously think Harley could work with Nolan's Joker in the next film. Now it's fine for fan fiction, using Nolan's character just as a starting-off point to tell your own story, but in Nolan's actual next film? I don't think so. It made sense to have The Animated Series' Joker to have her, since he was a complete narcissist and showman, but not here. This Joker is a guy who truly doesn't give a damn about anything, not even himself. Why would this guy suddenly take on an obsessed, annoying girl as a mistress? How would she be useful in dismantling Batman and Gotham? Harleen Quinzell the psychiatrist could have feasibly had a role or mention, but not as Harley Quinn: Joker's #1 Fan. Ledger's Joker would have offed her in one of his elaborate plans or as soon as she became useless.

I think any hopes of Harley being in Batman 3 are pipe dreams.

Harley's character would obviously need to be made darker and a little more toned down than her comic book version for her to work in a film.
Harley would have her uses for the Joker and he would probably keep her around just out of curiosity to see how far he can push her, but basically she would just be a kick in the teeth to Batman. Joker corrupted Harvey Dent so Batman had Joker locked away and Joker still manages to corrupt someone else. Harley is also deceptive, she can act the victim but would kill you given half the chance, like in BTAS episode Mad Love where she lures Batman in to a trap by pretending to have seen the error of her ways. When Batman meets her, she sets it up so that she is attacked and Batman saves her then she stabs him with a needle, knocking him unconscious. That is the Harley I want to see, smart and deceptive rather than goofy and can’t do anything right. Batman could also feel guilty that he couldn’t save Dent from Joker’s manipulation and therefore doesn’t want to allow Harley to go the same way, especially if he met her in her sane state.

I heard somewhere that Nolan said that there would be no Joker in any of his Bat-films - so I guess no Harley either, until a different director picks up the reigns, plus Nolan is poised to direct the next Superman film as well---

Not directing, he'll be acting as the executive producer.

Both are good choices.
And I really don´t know what the people see on Kristen Bell.
She does not say nothing to me.
It´s just a beautiful face.
