I say cast Lynda Carter as Hera instead of as Hippolyta, and have Monica Belluci as Diana's mother. That way Lynda can still be in the cast but we can also have someone who looks more like Gal as her mother.

Can't really say I'm for this idea...nothing against Lynda Carter but I don't want her as Hera or Hippolyta.

For Hippolyta I'm still partial to someone like Charlize Theron, Jennifer Connelly or Kate Beckinsale...especially the latter because I've been dying to see her in a comic book movie.

I'd be cool with Kate Winslet as Hera, though. Or maybe even Sharon Stone?

The actress who portrays Hera needs to be able to inspire fear and awe (as portrayed in the New52 continuity, which the DCfilmverse seems to be going for).

She needs to be able to bring Hypollyta to her knees by her mere presence and beauty.

My kneejerk reaction would be to suggest Charlize Theron, but I'd like to see someone else take on that kind of role.

I'd like to see someone who I think has been shortchanged in her career. I'd like to see an actress who is familiar to fanboys and fangirls, but who would be a revelation to the general audience.

Even though the DC TV and movie verses aren't connected...it *could* be interesting if, down the line, Warner makes a Crisis On Infinite Earths JL film...and uses every actor that's ever played a DC superhero. Then, Lynda could actually be WW on screen again (they'd have to explain her aging or just use modern technology to have her appear like she did in the 70s).

Anyway, that's how I hope Lynda is incorporated into the DC verse.

As for Jon-Ann's question...if Cate Blanchett or Charlize Theron isn't Hippolyta...either of those two gets my vote for Hera.

EDIT: I just saw Harry's pic of Tilda Swinton. Yeah, she def needs to be in the DC verse somehow. Almost any role...any goddess or villain or Amazon Queen.
