Yeah, despite this Sat being so slow in comparison I’m confident in the process and all about the long term. Even surprisingly slow attempted fast runs I see as consolidation.I'm sure you'll get there pretty quick if you keep on pushing for it!
Yeah I was getting up to some decent volume (for me) without any feelings of overtraining or soreness, so that was a bummer. But it's like you say; as long as the consistency is there these setbacks won't matter much in the long term of things.
Yikes! Sorry about that! I've sprained my toes a few times but never had anything break though. Early this year I hurt my foot while sparring and there were a bunch of cracking noises but no broken bones fortunately, but it did swell up like a mother and hurt for quite a while.
Hopefully it won't be a long recovery for you.
Yep, and that work you did will still contribute to where you eventually get to. Nothing is wasted. All these months in prior years where I’ve put runs together and then had many months off have all helped me build back much better this time.
