I like the way he phrased it - he wants to kick the crap out of him. Which is something we all want to do :cwink:

Also it's not going to happen anyway with Avi Arad holding Venom hostage for his inevitably awful spin off. So we're thankfully Venom free in the MCU franchise for the foreseeable future. I take comfort in that.

I think the best possible scenario is that Arad screws this up so badly, that it leaves everyone with a horrible taste in their mouths when it comes to Venom and even the symbiote.

It would be hard to top or be too different from his portrayal in SM aside from being less sympathetic (and a new Dr. Octopus would probably be more interesting in a less-sympathetic version).

Many people, myself included, didn't think Jack Nicholson's Joker could be equaled or surpassed. Talented writers and actors could come up with something fresh because it just seems wrong for Spidey to be without his #1 baddie in the MCU.

It's a shame that Randy's not around to reflect on the film for a future anniversary DVD/Bluray. I've listened to a few interviews where he touched on the subjects of casting, character development, and performing the physical parts of this scene. I can only imagine a featurette where Macho Man was given 10 or so minutes to talk freely about his experience in SM1. It might not have been entirely coherent, but it would have been entertaining for certain.

Kane you are making me want to watch the trilogy again! When my MCU marathon is over I may do just that.

Kane, can we have some Doc Ock gifs please?

^ It's amazing how much they nailed the Spidey suit on the first go-around.

We are quickly approaching the 15th and 10th anniversaries of Spider-Man 1 and 3. I will re-watch them then.

I am disappointed we never got a 15th anniversary edition of Spidey 1 this year.

There we go

Still one of the best, if not the best action scenes ever put into a CBM.

God, the train fight is so good. Kane, thanks for the gifs. They are GREAT.

Would you kindly make gifs for the bank battle scene?

One of the best....until Hack Snyder tops it with his over teh edge dark n gritty Batman v JL v Derpsday V Eisendoofus v Letoker fight in "How many awful DC movies can we make: dawn of we're going to kill the superhero genre." :o

LOL. That is the handy man's guide on how to not to an action scene with super powered characters. Even in SM-3, Raimi delivered some great action scenes. The subway fight with Sandman and symbiote Spidey, and the mansion fight between Peter and Harry being my favs in that movie.

I love the fights in SM3. All of em. The Harry v Peter dogfights are the best though, I love the way they had never fought before, yet knew each other intimately.

I didn't love the final fight, because giant Sandman never did it for me. When it comes to hero vs villain fights, I prefer more personal one on one fights with foes who are not exaggerated to giant size. Plus the grunts and groans and monster roars Sandman made were stupid. The worst being that sound he makes when the first pumpkin bomb lands on his face.
