Me, too. If anyone can come back, Ben Reilly should. Ben was awesome, and I think he could have made an awesome counterpoint to Peter Parker.

He had a lot of potential yet to be tapped into. He could have left for San Francisco to be the Spider-Man of the West Coast. He never should have been killed off.

And his suit is one of my favorite alternate suits. The Black COstume remains my favorite alternate suit, but the Scarlet SPider-Mna suit as well as the Ben Reilly suit are my next 2 alternate favorites.

Maybe we'll get a DTV animated film on the 90's Clone Saga some day. I think if TSSM would have continued, Weisman might have made it happen with a DTV aniamted film from TSSM show. Well, either that, or the very first Clone Saga from the 70's.

What I think is happening is that with the intervening 15 years, the kids who read the Clone Saga are now writing the comics, bringing the aspects they liked to the new comics. Or at least they form an audience who want to see those days paid tribute to. It's a beautiful thing, in my opinion.

I'm ashamed to say this, but I never watched The Spectacular Spider-Man on TV. I just didn't get up for it on Saturday mornings.

Interesting. You should definitely check it out on dvd though. TSSM is the reason I got into Spider-Man. There definitely should've been more episodes.

Exactly! Weisman said Scorpion and Hobgoblin would have premiered in season 3. Can you picture thefantastic Hobgoblin arc written by Roger Stern being adapted into the show? It would have been incredible.

There was also talk of adding in Mr. Negative, which I thought would have been great.

I mean Saturday morning cartoons in general. I think that The Spectacular Spider-Man would be an exception, just as Batman: The Animated Series is, but I wasn't really excited about the prospect of getting up early on Saturday mornings to catch ONE show.

I like waking up early as it is, so it wasn't a problem for me, lol.
