This Is X-Men's answer to the avengers. It has cast members of both OT and first class. It's first X-Men film directed by Bryan SInger in 11 years. It's the biggest budget X-Men film.First X-men film filmmakers have both budget and time to make It big. It's second biggest fox production.Of course it's huge.

Well this Is bryan Singer directing. He rarely dumd it down even If people don't like film.
Closest thing to him dumb it down Is jack the giant slayer. And even that I don't consider dumbing down film.

Superman Returns was extremely dumb, but for different reasons (I hate that movie). Still, X1, X2, The Usual Suspects, etc, that's a pretty good track record.

And the characterizations were horrible, the "hero" was a creepy emo stalker, the plot was an inferior rehash of Donner's films, the villain was incredibly stupid, etc. Nevertheless, Singer's track record with the X-franchise is quite good, so I'm optimistic.

    Getting personal again?
Yeah same here. It started good but as the film continued, it just got boring and boring.

Not at all, was just abit predictable

you get insecure very easy when it comes to the OT and its usually what starts the FC vs OT and the board is getting along better without that

Thats not true at all. Its more like the opposite, I can't talk about the OT cast w/o getting a reaction from you.

And a mod already told you to stop talking to members like that.

I'm most excited for the scene of the two Xavier's together! :)

I sure liked Superman Returns a lot more than Valkyrie hehe. I didn't think it was dumb, just a a little past it's time for that kind of Superman film. I still enjoy watching though, I thought Jack the Giant Slayer was a bit of a mess. I had trouble enjoying any of it minus Ewan McGregor.

With Jack I couldn't get past the shoddily-made intro animation. The good thing is, I had it in good authority that Singer was not even trying with that production (they would show him something during meetings and he would be on his phone the whole time). With DOFP we know Singer is giving it his..wait for it...110%

To say singer wasn't trying would be a stupid move on his part for his directing career, Vaughn was still attached to direct DOFP so it's not like he knew he would have Xmen to fall back on and I believe singer has said in an interview that he is proud of the film and blames the marketing for how badly it did

He is lucky he has Xmen to fall back on now as I don't think jack the giant slayer even broke even

That's what people who've actually worked on the project have said so *I* would tend to believe them. What you choose to believe is up to you.

Besides wasn't Singer unceremoniously yanked out of directing First Class as he was contractually obligated to helm a film for WB (Jack). I can see how that would cause someone to not be fully engaged in the project.

Well fair dues, but singer did say at The Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal that he was proud of the film so take that how you will I guess

Jack the giant slayer wasn't great but it was entertaining and had cool action scenes. Far from perfect but really fun.

    I believe you.

And since DOFP is a "X-Men" project, I'd like to think he will do a better job in this one compare to Jack the Giant Slayer.

McAvoy is fantastically disturbed in "Filth". I don't think I'll be able to shrug it off in DOFP now haha.

He's quickly becoming one of my favourite actors.

You've got Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Peter Dinklage, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin, etc all in one movie. How can anyone shrug that off, it does not compute.
