Well the ultra femme fatale seductress of the DC Universe has gotten a much needed and improved makeover for the upcoming Season 3 with actress Maggie Geha, gone is Season 1's Ivy Pepper .

The one thing I'm not completely sold on is NuIvy but I'm looking forward to the rest of Season 3 so good luck to Maggie and we'll see how this plays out :)

20 something "matured buxom" actress, still supposed to be a 15 year old girl. Yeah, kind of creeper.

You don't see the inherent creepiness of casting an actress for a 15 year old character based largely on sex appeal? Also no, the vast majority of 15 year old girls do not look like that. This is not 90120.

This is the worst thing that ever happened to Gotham. Then again I've said that in numerous other threads and on numerous other boards...

She looks exactly like the third pic. I'm excited to see Maggie wow us.

    Why?

Thing is, they've pretty much aged her just so they evolve her into the Poison Ivy persona much faster.

Oh, and because she's effin' hot. That might also be a factor, I dunno. :o

I thought the general consensus was that killing Jerome was the worst thing that ever happened to Gotham.

That, and Fish coming back are easily the top contenders.

Sure, there are lots of people whining about that but that wasn't a betrayal of the show's concept. I.e. "let's just skip the adolescent phase of this character and recast her with a near-thirty-year-old because we want another sexpot."

Then again I sort of have to put this behind me or I won't be able to keep covering the show.

I'm still confused about Pamela Isley suddenly turning into a 25 year old.

    Anyone remember this synopsis?

    http://variety.com/2016/tv/news/gotham-poison-ivy-season-3-maggie-geha-1201800802/

Obviously now they've backtracked (Ivy probably won't "set sight on Bruce" anymore :barf:) but remember they used to set Ivy's age at 19 (which is weird because what is the point of saying a mentally-15-year-old girl "looks" 19 if she's played by a 28-year-old woman?) Perhaps they think that because a character "looks" 19 she's of consent age and can seduce older men but is still young enough to "set sight on" a 16-year-old boy :barf: (who is played by a 15-year-old actor).

But I recently discover this (though it's an article back in early August)

    http://www.denofgeek.com/us/tv/gotham/257629/gotham-season-3-who-is-the-aged-up-ivy-pepper

EP John Stephens said this during SDCC (July 22nd I think). So now Ivy "looks" 25, which I still find odd because why can't they just say that she looks 28? (because she does look 28, she's played by a 28-year-old actress). Anyway in order to just enjoy the story I will ignore the "mentally 15-year-old girl" part and will consider Ivy a grown adult woman, which means I won't care if she seduces older men in the future, though I pray that she won't "set her sight" on Bruce :barf: (I'm obligated to use that emoticon every time I mention that phrase).

Thus far she's proven to be a horrible choice for the role. About as awful as Uma Thurman was.

But look how Ivy acted around Bruce and Selina. Both of them acted more mature than Ivy did. Ivy is still acting like a kid that was given the keys to the candy store.

Uma Thurman is a fantastic actress. You can't blame her for being stuck in a lousy movie. Any more than you can blame Halle Berry for getting stuck with Catwoman or Ryan Reynolds for Green Lantern.
