Oh please. Singapore has no right to ban this: they have committed so many war-crimes it's not even funny.

i got the game yesterday. in australia they were selling it early. :)

haha, its a great game. So large in scope and looks stunning.

They really have been advertising Mass Effect on the Sci-Fi Channel. I have seen like 10 different ads during Stargate Atlantis.

Oh, they're different? That's good. The "Choices Ahead" one doesn't show much of anything.

With black friday coming up, I'm tempted to wait and see if I anyone will have any special price cuts on the game, but I honestly don't think I could wait that long. :(

got myself an early copy, and folks, I gotta say, apart from some texture loading and frame rate issues, this definitely gets Game of the Year for me (with Bioshock in second).

Is the framerate always bad or does it just dip occasionally? I remember KotOR's framerate was like, 15 frames per second no matter what was going on, and the graphics sucked.

Yeah, that's what annoyed me about KOTOR. It's understandable if the framerate in Mass Effect hiccups during frantic action scenes but should it start chugging when I'm talking and looking around...:cmad:

I hope Mass Effect doesn't chug during normal situations. That'd be a kill-joy. :(

I only noticed occasionally, and even then, it's NOWHERE near as bad as in KOTOR. the texture loading was way more annoying, but everything else is so good (specially the story) that it really didn't matter in the long run.

seriously, this is definitely game of the year for me. I beat the game earlier today and I can't wait to play again and take different paths. and I rarely play through story modes more than once.

that's a pretty good way to put it. and really, it's not common. I just noticed it a few times.

Typically Microsoft doesn't let a game pass certification unless it runs at least at 30 fps... but then again, KotOR and Deus Ex: IW were passed.

like I said, it happens very rarely, considering the game's lenght, and even when it does it's nowhere near as bad as KOTOR.

I'm actually surprised I remembered that instead of the more constant (but still only occasional and never during the action) in-game loading and those damn elevators that take forever (if you've recently read Penny Arcade, they're right on the money on those). those were way more annoying.

but still, those are minor flaws that while annoying, never made me not enjoy playing the game. it was an amazing experience, from start to finish.
