as for complaints about AI, I honestly didn't find it bad at all. time and again I got my ass saved by my squad (specially on lower levels, and really, it's supposed to be an ACTION RPG.

by its very nature, it's not supposed to be micromanageable. otherwise you'd be pausing and giving orders more than you'd actually shoot, cause there are some pretty big firefights. IMO, that works in favor of the action.

So you think that the AI complaints are generally from those are expecting more turn-based combat? RPGers are frustrated because the computer teammates don't respond as they would like them to, not necessarily a lack of response to combat stimuli? Interesting.

From the gameplay I've seen, you can pause to give orders at any given second, and even though the fights are VERY fast paced, a staunch RPGer could pause every half second or so to give a new order, and, as far as I understand, be very frustrated when those orders don't go to the top of the queue. Interesting.

What queue? As far I know there is no queue.
IGN said:
Only a single power can be hotlinked to a button. The rest are called up with the Power Wheel, which is activated by holding down the right bumper. From there, you can use powers of your own or command allies to use specific ones they possess. The catch is that you can't queue up commands. Unless you want to pause the game every other second during fights, you'll probably set the AI allies to use the powers on their own volition and just ignore them through the majority of the game -- much the same as you will with their squad commands.

I'm not really saying it's their faults. I'm saying that, personally, I didn't notice because I mostly just ordered them to use certain abilities when I needed. and that never failed me. apart from that, I'd leave them be.

and sometimes they gave killshots or, in some other ways, managed to save my ass.

I'll admit: the combat is definitely not as deep as some hardcore RPGers would like. maybe that's why I like it.

Is the mako really as much fun as it looks?

I'm going to rush through this game, skipping through all conversations, cinematics and I will rush through every area. Then I'm going to complain that the game is short, that there isn't enough to do, that the story doesn't make sense and that it's a shallow, barely-fun game.

You can be a professional reviewer now! :wow:

I'm kinda in the dark here, is that supposed to be a shot at me or someone else or what?

That or I'm just not going to care too much what you may or may not think of me and my opinions on video game reviews.

You obviously do care somewhat & more then likely more then you know if you are taking the time to respond

Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!

I am on the last level of this game & I got this game the same day Assasins Creed came out & I have been playing this game more then Assasins Creed & this game is just ****ing awesome. I want sequels & movies damn it :cmad:

WHAT A ***** REVIEW!!!
They give Assassins Creed a 9, and Halo 3 a 9.5.......and Mass Effect 8.5.....ARE YOU CRAZY!!!

*****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats why I stopped reading GameSpot a LOOOONG time ago!

that was kind of what I thought, just... not as pissed off.

Wowzers. So is Gamespot still the best place to find reviews? It seems like whenever people agree with their reviews it is, but when they don't its like they are WAY off or something. Interesting.

getting it tomorrow in the mail, 2 days before the danish release date. I'm excited.

Gamespot was never one of my favourites. I usually go to IGN or Gametrailers.

I do find it funny that on the video review, the guy says that the combat is great, fun and everything, but it is listed as one of the weak points. way to be consistent, guys.

Gamespot is great and make great reviews....unless they are on drugs.
Sometimes, before reviewing something, they drink way too much......
That´s why i like Gametrailers, because they show the gameplay of what they are talking about, so, we can see for ourselfs.

You can trust Gamespot like, 75% of the time. Sometimes they give ****ty games great reviews, or great games ****ty reviews.
