I see McAvoy and Fassbender potentially returning full time. You could convince me Jennifer Lawrence wants back in too.

But I doubt we see Sheridan, Shipp, or Turner. I suspect the OT cast will be the ones featured in Secret Wars, if at all.

Well, The Marvels did set up the OT cast to return. I also think a X-Force movie is likely to happen and we might see the OT cast in that.

I remember Ryan Reynolds basically saying that Deadpool isn't going to leave his home universe, and he recently said that Deadpool is going to be in supporting roles going forward. Kevin Feige has said that Marvel wants to use Deadpool and Wolverine as much as possible (their movie made over a billion dollars after all). So Marvel will probably make that X-Force film that Fox wanted to do.

I can see them getting James Marsden as Cyclops to form a new X-Force team like he did in the comics. Maybe do something him and Cable.

I don't think we'll be seeing alternate realities post Secret Wars so an X-Force in Deadpool's universe would have to take place in the next 3 years before then. Based on D&W script, I'm sure it would be no trouble at all to put something together.

But since I don't think Jackman is going anywhere (even after the realities merge), I think it would be better if he's at least interacting with a Professor X and Magneto that he's encountered before. It'd just seem so strange to see Jackman acting against a third actor as Xavier. And since Stewart and McKellen are ostensibly aged-out of their respective roles, why not turn to McAvoy and Fassbender.

A X-Force movie with the core X-Men members and Deadpool, just don't sound appealing to me. Yes, having them would sell more tickets. But I prefer the line up to feature, Cable, Boom Boom, Feral, Domino and the ones who won't end up or already part of the X-Men team in the previous movies.

I don't see why we won't see alternate realities post Secret Wars. So far, that has been their biggest money maker for this saga. It is pretty clear that audiences want these universes back, and the main MCU has been declining in popularity.

The Messiah saga would be the perfect story to adapt. It seemed like Fox was building towards that.

Why not turn to McAvoy and Fassbender? Because those two are less iconic than Stewart/McKellen, and starred in a bomb movie that was Dark Phoenix. I think it would be too generous of Marvel Studios, to keep them in the mix similar to Hugh/Ryan long term. Professor X and Magneto are also much easier to recast.

I think it would be too generous of Marvel Studios, to keep them in the mix similar to Hugh/Ryan long term. Professor X and Magneto are also much easier to recast.

So? Jennifer Garner's Elektra was also in a bomb movie. That didn't stop her from appearing in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Fassbender and McAvoy are both great actors who excelled in their roles. That's the biggest criteria for me if they were to be brought back.

Jennifer Garner wasn't a lead actress in Deadpool & Wolverine and not leading a Elektra movie for Disney.

There are plenty of actors out there who could play the Professor and Magneto, for the X-Men's reboot. There's no need for bring back Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy for that. It would defeat the purpose of a reboot.

Take everything you read on the internet with a grain of salt, until the studio announces/confirms/releases photos or videos.

I used to visit those websites like 10 years ago, and stopped, when i realized its just a bunch of rumours/claims that won't come to fruition.

I don't think there is a chance that the MCU will touch Jean, Logan, and Scott. It's been done to death on film.

An X-Men Evolution route with MCU X-Men would be interesting. They introduced Spider-Man as a teen in Civil War. Could we be getting the O5 as teens with maybe characters like Storm and Wolverine as adults/teachers, and mixing up some people's ages to create a fresh dynamic?
