With the character set to make her live action debut in episode 15 of season 4. I thought it was time she deserved her own thread.

SHE IS hot as heck dude ...

I wonder if they will give her any type of mask. Vixen operating without one seems a bit weird.

thank god this aint marvel, or else she woulda had to deal with an ex who turned out to be a junkie and would sell her identity to dark .

The reason she doesn't have a mask in the comics, previous toons or this cartoon is because she doesn't need one, the same way Wonder Woman doesn't need one. The same way John Stewart doesn't need one. The same way Oliver Queen didn't need one after he revealed to the world he was Green Arrow. The same way Barry Allen didn't need one after he revealed to the world he was the Flash. Vixen is a step ahead of these guys. She doesn't pretend to be someone else. She's not built that way. There is no Bruce Wayne or Clark Kent for her. She is always 100% who she is, and it's awesome.

She also doesn't really have anyone to protect.

I would be really upset if they gave her a mask against comics and for no reason other than that Flash and Green Arrow have one. If GA is Batman and Flash is Superman, let Vixen be Wonder Woman. Leave the lying to loved ones to the boys.

This is not the comics. Oliver has a mask, Laurel has a mask, Supergirl has a "mask", superheroes/vigilantes do not operate freely in this world with people knowing who they are. Vixen started out with a mask so giving her one is not far fetched.

DAM she is smoking hot can't wait to see the episode with her in it.

Haven't watched the Seed cartoon but I wonder if her being added this season will tie into the overall magic theme. Maybe her totem will play a part or Ollie will call on her like he did Constantine.

eh. Im anti-mask on this one. Like a John Constatine...she is who she is.

Constantine doesn't really deal with the public. Vixen is out and about on the town, it would be a big story for her to be an open superhero with no secret identity.

She really should. Though given the timeline for the Seed series is mid-Season 3 if I'm not wrong, a long time has passed since then.

I highly doubt they're going to force an actress to cut her hair, especially when she isn't even cast member.

Oliver and Supergirl have those same disguises in comics, or at least did for decades and in their most iconic interpretations, so saying this is not the comics and then pointing out things that are just like the comics doesn't support your point.

But Laurel is a great example of someone with no mask in the comics who has one in the show. My response would be using your own logic against you: this is not the comics, and in this universe Vixen did *not* start out with a mask, and so giving her one now would be far fetched. They've established that she is as uperhero/vigilante that operates freely without a mask. Canon. Done. That is now a thing in the Arrowverse. What explanation could they give to go back on that? And how would any such explanation make the story better?

This is correct. Vixen takes place roughly a year before her upcoming Arrow appearance in-storyline.

So they have the flexibility there. They could leave her hair as-is and say it grew in that year, they could cut it or use a wig to match the webseries, or they could land somewhere in between and trim it some.

I remember her from her brief time on CSI Miami as the medical examiner for one season before she was caught doing drugs and was fired.

So I'm excited to see this character come to life on the little screen. I was not a fan of her in the JLU series. I love Bruce Timm but when she'd say things like "boo" and "men like ....." no, no, no.
