This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]231292[/split]
Christian Bale (Solid Snake / Liquid Snake)
Bale seems to have been born to play this role. He could pull off both Solid and Liquid if given good material to work with, the only downside is if Bale phones in a performance something akin to John Connor in Terminator Salvation where he just seemed pissed off but Ill blame that on the script and just the way the character was written in general. Bale has to capture not only the anger of Snake but the guilt Snake has had to carry throughout his life, being used as a tool for different agencies, the sorrow of losing his best friend (Gray Fox in this case), the corruption of war, not being able to live a normal life, all of that as well as playing the total opposite of that with Liquid. If he could do that then yes, Bale needs to be both Snakes.
Michael Fassbender (Revolver Ocelot)
Age might be a factor here but Revolver Ocelot to me is the main antagonist of the series and the most important. The character needs an actor worthy of delivering something truly memorable. The main suggestions Ive seen for Ocelot are Daniel Day-Lewis and Gary Oldman while I think they might make for a terrific Revolver Ocelot, I would like to see a rising star for this role hence Michael Fassbender. He has the acting chops to pull it off and Im sure with some effects here and there they could advance his age so we can get an Ocelot as close to the games as possible whilst still getting a newer and fresher take of the character. Sort of what Heath did to the Joker.
Gary Oldman (Colonel Roy Campbell)
Another big name. I saved Oldman for Campbell after seeing Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. Not only is this man a master of his craft but he could pull of Campbell with a type of melancholy as I always saw the character in the games. Knowing that the world is at stake, the character of Campbell could probably have a whole movie about him he is that interesting to me. He has seen it all and really represents an authority figure who has compassion and isnt full of clichés though at times, yeah. I really dont need to say anymore because there really isnt much to say. In my opinion, Oldman as Campbell would be fantastic.
Olivia Wilde (Meryl Silverburgh)
Now this is an actress who I had doubts about but I believe she could make a very strong female lead. She is showing promise with her acting skills, has the right look for the character and who I think could pull off a strong Meryl.
Ralph Fiennes (Gray Fox)
Some might say that Ralph Fiennes might be too big to play this role, I disagree. Gray Fox is probably one of the most important characters of the series. His acting skills would give the character a much needed substance in a live-action film and by doing this we could also see flashbacks of the man before his body became ripped apart and put together as Gray Fox.
Temuera Morrison (Vulcan Raven)
Temuera Morrison is a well-known Maori actor in New Zealand, most notably for his fierce portrayal of Jake the Muss Heke in Once Were Warriors. Vulcan Raven is an Inuit and the two cultures between the Maori and Inuit people are very similar. Morrison can portray the physical side of Raven, if a bit smaller but still retrain an imposing figure as well as giving Raven a spiritual authenticity.
Unfortunately, I dont have the time right now to right up my reasons for the other actors and characters but Ill just list them anyway. I might get around to it when Im not so busy.
Other supporting characters:
Rachel Weisz (Naomi Hunter), Sharlto Copley (Hal Otacon Emmerich), Rhona Mitra (Sniper Wolf)
To hell with a movie.
HBO series plz.
