Putting the appearance aside for a moment I also have great faith in his acting, the casting so far has been exceptionally credible. I think we have a great Hank on our hands here.

By my math, it looks like Hank could be anywhere between 17-24 in order for Beast's perceived age in X3 to be believable.

It really doesn't matter since The Last Stand Is laregly being Ignored.While Nicholas Hoult
did look at Kelsey Grammer's mannerism to play Hank, Beast does not resemble the
Last Stand beast.This Is more the catlike Beast while Grammer played the classic beast.
Mystique In Blue Form In First Class laregly resembles Rebecca Romijn's Mystique.

Also, both Hoult's and Grammer's Beast look like they could definitely be the same Beast. The differences are not that drastic and the differences in time and age being around 30 years old, I wouldn't expect both Beasts to look exactly the same anyway...

I believe we see him when he's just starting out a a talented scientist so he must be pretty young. Hoult looks like he's in and around the late teens, early twenties mark so I think that aspect works.

I don't think his hands are huge, though i could be wrong. There's only been mention of his feet. It might be difficult to show him as a scientist/technician if he had oversized digits that would provide less dexterity.

I have just mentioned plenty of reasons that suggest like Wolverine they are Ignoring Last Stand.

I'm still not convinced of the crippling in First Class, it could happen it could not. They may have have changed their mind about it during filming or reshoots. The falling out between Xavier and Magneto could just be the beginning of it, and not Magneto leaving Xavier and starting the Brotherhood.

I'm not going to assume these things, I'll wait to see the film to see what they do with it.

The Moira MacTaggert thing is a bit of a continuity issue.

Again, I don't think they are ignoring the movie. I think they are definitely taking continuity liberties for story purposes, but as far as BEAST goes, I don't think it's directly conflicting any of the events of X3.

if anything conflicts with the continues, it was seeing human Hank in X2...

people can list the continues errors to X3 all they want, but, just even from what we've seen so, far it seems there's just as many continues errors of the first two movies as well...

there not just ignoring X3, their picking and choosing what to ignore from the whole original series

It's one thing to Ignore lines of Dialoge(Hell other franchises like Star Trek has done that
for example during soriginal series they were often Inconsent with what century It was
taking place,and during season 1 was Inconsent what group the enterprise was a ship of)
and 1 second cameo of Human looking beast on TV.But crippling Xavier and falling out him and Xaver and possibly starting brotherhood(Magneto Is seen from behind In more comic accurate costume outside cell where the CIA holds Emma Frost hinting that Magneto may break her out and start forming his group after the evetns In Cuba) In First Class are way too major to still view First Class as prequel to The Last Stand.
First Class can be seen as prequel with a few libities to X-Men and X2.And while they
keep Mystique In Blue form largely consent with Mystique from earlier films they made no
effort with beast.This Is the cat like beast while In the last stand It was the classic
Beast.

people should stop complaining about how he looked better in x3, as first class beast will have more character development and its a pretty tragic story for hank

im sure singer and Vaughn will give us a visually better beast story wise, esp when you look at x3 beast who looked arkward in the final fight like they really didnt know what to do with him

The difference looks of Beast XFC and X3 are purely cosmetic, it is not gonna impact on the story, or acting etc. in any way. It can easily be looked over.

Think Storm's hair from X2 to X3... white hair to white hair with dirty black roots.
It didnt impact on anything, apart from a quick thought "oh its different"

I've been converted, I originally thought I'd end up siding with the X2 and X3 beast but the more I see of the First Class beast the more wrong I think I was.

I mean, the picture there, Beast looks good. The picture in the link he looks nothing like that, but is from a later trailer.
