I'm pretty sure I'm done with Microsoft. Last Halo just burnt me and that's why I bought a One. I'll get a Neo.. And a NX. That'll be it.

yeah. given my past history with the One, I'm wary about going back to MS. but, I'm keeping an open mind and looking forward to what they present at E3.

I think a big thing would be, besides announcing an answer to the Neo, if MS announces full BC with all 360 games ( instead of the drip, drip, drip now ) or else some big name BC titles like Skyrim.

however, I recently read a rumor that there may be a Skyrim remaster for the PS4 and X1. so, if that's true ( and I hope it is - imagine Skyrim remaster with full mod support!! ), that would kind of nullify the above point.

course, I'm also eager to hear what Sony has to announce at E3. but they have to really wow me. I want to be wowed by Sony. The last few years, it just seems like Sony's been coasting.

the past few e3s have been boring I hope Sony does something really exciting

the past few e3s have been boring I hope Sony does something really exciting

at the last e3 we got Uc4 gameplay, the revelations of ffs7 remake, the last guardian, shenmue 3 kickstarter, and horizon zero dawn. how was any of that boring?

I want new games.. But like X Knight said.. I'd be happy with some remasters. I'd like Skyrim PS4 (even tho I had an issue with Skyrim.. May be my own fault but I felt if you weren't a Nord.. The story didn't work..) , along with Mass Effect 1-3.

Announce the next RDR but in the meantime give me a RDR "remaster" and please (this WON'T happen) give me the KOTOR remaster collection.

Another thing I want to happen.. That won't.. TOR MMO F2P on consoles.

^^ Skyrim Remastered will full Mod support.

Would be cool.. We gotta get the mod crap up and running in Fallout 4 yet. Does that even have a time frame?

I think X1 owners get beta access to mods this month and PS4 owners in June??

so, it seems like mods will be coming in the next few months and I'd imagine that will part of what Bethesda showcases at E3.

Ok cool, so if they get them up and running for Fallout 4.. No reason to not have them ready for Skyrim

yeah, if they are working on a Skyrim remastered, then I can see them waiting until this year to announce it once console mods become a reality with Fallout.

that way, they'll be able to include mod support with the Skyrim remaster and thus give console players another incentive to revisit a game that's already 5 years old ( hard to believe!! ).

hopefully, console mods will prove successful, because I want other companies like Bioware to support them in the future ( next Mass Effect and Dragon Age games, for example ).

New trailer highlights the five additional classes.

Grand-Kingdom_05-17-16.jpg

NIS America has released new details, video, and screenshots for Grand Kingdom introducing the game’s Valkyrie, Archer, Noble, Paladin, and Dark Knight classes.

The five classes were originally released as paid downloadable content in the Japanese version of the game, but they’ll be on the disc at no additional cost in the North America and European release.

The four Great Nation campaigns that were also released as paid downloadable content in Japan will also be included with the western release at no additional cost. It increases the game’s campaign content from 12 chapters following The Guild to 48 chapters of story that delves into Resonail’s lore and nations.

Each Great Nation campaign sees players align themselves with a particular nation and dives into that nation’s motivations and history. You’ll meet new characters, discover the ties that bind rulers to family and nation, and more.

NIS America also announced that users who pre-order Grand Kingdom via the PlayStation Store (pre-orders are live today) will receive a 10 percent discount off the final price, unlock an exclusive theme, and be awarded four “Charm Scrolls” for use in the game’s final release to re-customize the look and stat point allocation of four mercenary units.
Grand Kingdom is due out for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita both physically and digitally on June 21 in North America and June 17 in Europe.

I agree with this. Too often I hear complaints about it being boring. Maybe it could have unveiled more but it was quite interesting.

I have good expectations that this year they'll announce the new PS4, perhaps a new IP, most likely the new God of War, certainly Horizon Zero Dawn, more on FF7 and, who knows, reveal the return of Crash Bandicoot and the new Spider-Man game with its first footage. That would be an awesome E3 on Sony's behalf.

Yeah I liked Sony's E3 last year. Now.. PS4 sucked.. And was a major let down. But that's another story.

exactly. there's only going up from here.

How long do you guys think this generation of consoles will be around? The PS4 has been out for two and a half years now and with the release of Uncharted 4 I finally feel like the next generation of games have arrived. I'm hoping we get another three, hopefully four years out of it. I kinda liked how long the last generation of consoles lasted. Not a fan of upgrading every three years.

Every 3 years? Lol where did you get that from? 5 years used to be reasonable in the past but it looks like they are trying to squeeze 7/8 years out of consoles nowadays. Certain things like the need for 4k media display (outside of gaming) make a difference but it looks like the likes of the PS4K/Neo will address that and allow the generation to not get cut short. I'm expecting between 3-5 years more from this gen. We'll have to see what Nintendo do though as that could also change put a spanner in the works.

I guess it feels like three years to me because I rarely buy consoles at launch. I do hope you're right about getting another 3-5 years out of this generation. I'm extremely happy with my PS4.

For Sony at least I would be very surprised if it was anything less than 3 years. If they hadn't announced the PS4K then that might have been different but that by itself will extend the tolerance and retain the interest of their fans who live on the technological cutting edge (the ones most interested in new consoles at launch). I don't know what Microsoft's plans are as the X1 is going to be noticeably inferior to the PS4K and being a 4k media player is also a big advantage.

I'd say they stick around d for at least 6(total) Maybe another 7 year life cycle.... More so with the 4.5 and XB 1.5 or whatever. At this point i don't see the PS5 being a console. It'll be a monitor that you download games to. I could be wrong.. But I'd bet that the 4.5 extends the life of this generation... Substantially.

yeah, I think the upcoming console refresh with the 4.5/Neo and whatever MS does with the X1 will extend the current cycle for at least another 3-4 years.

however, I do hope the PS5 ( or X2 ) will NOT be a digital only console.

once the console market goes that route, I think I'll be done.

Hunter, Medic, Fighter, and Witch classes introduced.

Grand-Kingdom_05-31-16.jpg

NIS America has released a new character trailer for Grand Kingdom, introducing the Hunter, Medic, Fighter, and Witch classes.

Find each class detailed below:

  • Hunter (Ranged) – An ace sniper that can hit faraway targets with uncanny precision. Whether raining down arrows on the battlefield or defending against magical enchantments, the Hunter has no shortage of tricks up the sleeves of his signature trenchcoat.
  • Medic (Specialist) – A unit that uses vials and flasks to treat injuries and negative ailments. The Medic even has vials filled with acid and poison she can use to defend herself.
  • Fighter (Melee) – A well-rounded unit that is capable of defending allies and cutting their way into the heart of an enemy’s formation. A Fighter’s various skills make him a welcome addition to any battle situation.
  • Witch (Magic) – A unit that wields powerful magic that can affect a wide area. The Witch has many skills she can use to attack multiple enemies, but she must be careful not to accidentally hit her allies too.
Grand Kingdom is due out for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita both physically and digitally on June 21 in North America and June 17 in Europe.

Just curious, I need a fantasy game in my collection but The Witcher would be a game I just couldn't put the hours into at the moment.

What's the better game between Diablo 3 and Shadows Of Morder?

well, they are different games. Diablo 3 is a fun dungeon crawler game. Shadows of Mordor is a more open world adventure game.

personally, I've enjoyed Diablo 3 probably the most out of the PS4 games I've played. Couldn't get into Shadows of Mordor.
