Casting Underway for 'Punisher 2'. Casting of the remaining characters for Punisher: Welcome Back Frank is underway. The remaining lead characters include the main villain Billy Russo/Jigsaw, LBJ/Looney Bin Jim (Jigsaw's brother), Nicky Donatelli (undercover FBI agent serving as Jigsaw's right hand man), his wife Angela Donatelli, FBI agent Luke MacDonald, Det. Martin Soap, and Microchip (The Punisher's armorer).

From what I understand Chuck Liddell has Looney Bin wrapped up.

Dammit. First that "Reformed" criminal guy, and now microchip? I was really hoping The Punisher wouldn't be flying solo this go around.

Oh well, it's not going to make or break the film for me, but I would have preferred him being completely on his own. It can't be a one-man war against crime if it's more than one man.

Maybe Microchip will be intro'd near the end. We dont' know how big of a role he plays. I enjoyed Whistler in the Blade series so this could be cool depending on how he's intro'd and handled.

I had so much hope for this movie. Now I feel like the whole world just snuck up from behind me and ****ed me up the ass.

This guy better be the briefest of ****ing cameos or I am going to ****ing scream off the top of my lungs.

I think it's LGF just not caring if Tom left. The first film made nothing at the box office though it did well on DVD. Punisher was great for what it was but it was missing a whole lot too. I have a feeling this one is gonna blow away the 2004 movie. Lionsgate clearly has a plan and it's not Taxi Driver.

Also you do NOT know how Micro's role will be played out yet or how much screentime he has. It makes sense for him to have someone on the side he can get weapons from. Honestly the Punisher films just were not accepted...so far. I'm glad he's in.

But Microchip! This takes away the whole idea of Frank being a vicious loner and turning him into some dude with a tubby sidekick who helps build gadgets and weapons for him.

I bet seeing the word Microchip in the script was the last straw for TJ. I fear for this movie more than ever now.

Not really. You don't know how he's written into the script yet. For all we know he could just be a arms dealer that Castle goes to to gear up. No questions asked. That relationship might develop as the film goes on. It's not like Micro will be fighting next to him in battle, or doing interrogations for him. Punisher is still the one man army.

That's what I'm hoping for is that he is just some guy in one single scene who Frank buys guns off of. But I don't know that yet so until then I've pretty much lost faith.

I already responded to this above however I just asked Bradstreet what he would do if offered a job on the film and if his friendship would get in the way.

Touche, my friend. I think they don't want to make a Rambo movie so they're giving him a more realistic approach and throwing some characters from the comic to hopefully have small parts and help Castle in his war on crime.
