He's one of the characters that really impressed me in X2 and I thought he was deserving of his own thread. So here discuss everything Pyro or Aaron Stanford regarding X3.

First off, here's a nifty little profile of Pyro from the comics.

Pyro

And a picture of our Pyro from X2, and for X3. Aaron Stanford.

Pyro was a definate upside to X2. Bryan took a rather blah character, IMO and made him three dementional. I loved his character in X2 and how he progressed throughout the film. Can't wait to see what happens in X3.

Aaron is quite a talented actor as well. Tadpole was a good film. He was great in that. He is on my  list of the new generation of actors.

Ahh...Another "official" discussion thread...

Let's see if this one stays active for more than two days... :p :D

I wonder what kind of "battle" outfit they'll have him in, if any...I say he'll pretty much be the same as he does in that pictuure, but maybe he'll slightly lighter hair, have some glasses and maybe some gloves...

Why did I go on ignore Bamfer? :(.

And I agree no flamethrowers, and I think he should just remain in street clothes, no ''battle" outfit.

Pyro kicked @ss in X2:up: Can't wait to see him as a member of the Brotherhood. I don't really think he needs a costume though:o

Yeah, especially if it was anything like his costume from the comics. Can you say gauty? Call the fashion police on him. Oh wait, they can't arrest him cause he's dead. Shoot!

Well, Toad hopped around in a little court jester outfit in the comics. We didn't see that on screen, now did we?

I could go either way on flame throwers. On the one hand, he did pretty well for himself in X2 with just a lighter, blowing up cop cars and $#!+. But if they go all out in X3, letting Bobby ice up and make Ice ramps and all that stuff, John's gonna need something a little more state of the art to even the odds. I dunno about y'all, but I'd like to see flaming tornadoes or fire monsters.

It'd be cool if he threw flames at Storm, and she called up a small cyclone to blow them away from herself.

I really liked how he was showcased and developed in X2 and can see him causing some major damage in X3. It would be sweet if he(if there are sentinals) burn one down.

Less is more.

I'd like to see him kill Bobby and realize, "OMG! What've I done?" what an ass Magneto's turned him into and ultimately betray the brotherhood to the X-Men before dying himself, killed by Mystique or someone.

Never happen, but still...

Why would he be the one to betray Magneto. If Gambit is invloved, he would. If not, why does anyone have to betray him. AND why kill Iceman? If there is a Gen-X type of spinn-off, he would probobly be the leader. It would be pretty dumb to kill off Iceman just for the sake of turning Pyro back to good.

I don't see him killing Bobby. Even if he is one of the bad guys, this incarnatio of Pyro strikes me as someone who wouldn't kill what used to be his best friend. He gets carried away easily, but he's not a complete psychopath, like (for example) Evolution Pyro. And he always seemed to care what his peers thought of him, up until that last moment. Maybe not so much what the older characters thought (like Wolverine), but he definitely was doing a fair amount of showing off in front of Bobby and Rogue.

As for his costume, I bet they'll just keep him in something close to his street clothes. And he'll probably still have his shark lighter.

Surely you don't want him to look the same as before. That wouldn't help selling his transition...You don't want to see what kind of influence Magneto may have had on how he's looked at himself? How it might have affected the way he chooses to dress when in dangerous situations like Magneto does? I'm thinking along those lines...I would imagine him wearing gloves at least..

That's an excellent point. I'm going to change what I said before and say that he'll probably have some kind of protective uniform at least. Probably gloves and some sort of uniform boots or something. The Brotherhood's outfits aren't as "team" oriented as the X-Men, but they all work for the individual characters. I guess the real question is going to be in whether or not they give him the flame-throwers.

Yeah, dont really care what he wears, as long as he has his lighter.

I don't see them having the same big gas tanks as he had in the comics...

I had an idea where he had small containers slid on the his arms near the triceps and they were connected to his wrists and they came down to around his hand and that's where his fire came from...I see that as being less of a hassle as wearing some kind of metal backpack...It could be a bit more stylish than him flicking on some zippo lighters, but, I dunno...

=remembers TNC's concept design=

I remember you quoting it as being 'stylish'. Ah, the memories.
