(the search is busted so I couldn't search to see if this had been brought up yet)

we're only... about 2 months away, so some rumors got to start flying about the running time - just like they did about X3 (which hurt it in the end).

I don't have a single worry about spidey-3, I expect it to be amazing, but anyway. I heard from a friend of mine who manages a theater that he was out at a corporate meeting for the theater chain a few weeks ago, and they showed the Spider-Man 3 footage from Comic-Con. He also told me that he heard about the running time...

At first he said 90 minutes, but then I said, there's no way... then he kept bumping it up (100, 110) and finally ended up saying "it's at least under 2 hours" and said the first two were as well and so was this one. I kind of hope this isn't completely true... but if it is under 2 hours, at around 110 maybe, that should still be pretty damn good.

I mean SM1 was 121 and SM2 was 127, so it could be close to the 120 mark. Not sure... :spidey:

probably no more than 2:30 minutes. I don't expect it to be over 2:30 minutes but you really never know.

hey, I'm just reporting what I heard... it's all just a rumor till some confirmation comes.

I believe you heard what you heard...
But I dont believe this guy's word one bit, and you shouldn't either my dear friend... Listen to him, he obviously don't know anything, lol:) First he said 90min; then 100min.... or could it be 110!??? He doesn't know, and there's NOOO way that spidey 3 is that short, no way in hell.

Kirsten Dunst said a while back in an interview (where she actually got in to some trouble for saying too much about the film). She said that spider-man 3 was, and I quote "a very long film!"... And it definitly should be with all the stuff they have packed into this baby! At least if they wanna do it justice, and I believe that Raimi is VERY depended on doing just that.

Kirsten said that it's a long movie, and that got me thinking. "Spider-man 2" just cornered the 2-hour mark (saw it yesterday!)... So spidey 3 must be AT LEAST 2 hours. And I'm betting that it's even longer then that, otherwice there would have been no reason, WHAT SO EVER, for lovely Kirsten Dunst to have said what she said to begin with! (that SM-3 is a very long film) This is just logical thinking. No my friend, with a film this massive and with everything they will cover within it, I'm willing to say that I think we're getting a "SPIDER-MAN 3" picture that lasts for as long as 2:HOURS & 20:MINUTES. This is NOT wishful thinking at all, it's just me beeing realistic. Some have this crazy idea that it should be 3 hours long, but they're nuts; it'll never happen. But definitly expect a 2:20 hour film!;)

ps: If it gets an official announcement of a crappy X3-like running time
of a pathetic 103minutes, I'll TRUELY begin to cry! But this is NOT a Ratner film! It's STILL Raimi and the same beautiful family behind spidey 3! They WON'T let us down, this I'm absolutely confident about;)

I would have to say 2hrs-15min to 2hrs-30mins as there is a lot of story to tell in sm3, but I must admit, if it hit the 3 hr mark I wouldn't cry about it.

I hope he was wrong and everyone's right... that's all I've got to say. :)

^Come on, there's noooo way in hell that spidey 3 is 90minutes long, I'm willing to bet my life on it!... sure, they've spend an extra year then they did for the two other films (3 to be exact), only to give us a spidey film of 90-100minutes! No ****ing way.

Well, unless my sources are wrong(and I doubt they are) it's going to be 2h 32min. So, that's about 152 minutes of Spidey fun!

Well I suppose 2 30 hrs is long enough remember what happened to pirates of the caribbean 2 there is such a thing as too much of a good thing ( prepares for flaming)

Even if they wanted to make the film 90 minutes it would be impossible. Not with: praise Spider-Man, Sandman and daughter, Eddie hating Peter and Spidey, Symbiote coming then getting Peter, Peter being angry at friends, Eddie Jelous, Spidey nailing Sandy and Harry...forget it there are to many things happening for it to be only 90 mins long.

2 and half hours minimum I would have thought. If it is on longer then I won't complain.

(I know the first paragraph has really bad grammer :oldrazz: )

They could make till 3 hours and have a good profit off it.
Face it, the 2 most successful pictures in history were Titanic and Lord Of The Rings: Return of The King, and Titanic had 3 hours, and LOTR:ROTK had 3 and a half so...

Everyone thought Spider-man 2 would be 2 and a half hours, and it was 2 hours and 7 minutes, the general consensus for 3 is it will be longer then 2, so i put it at about 2 hours and 10 minutes, maybe 2:15 but i doubt it will exceed that. Raimi's films are never overly long.

140 min. would be fine with me.

No one should worry about Spidey suffering the same drop-off as X3. Let's not forget, it's still Raimi's baby, and from all indications he's treated it just as kindly as his last two.

No short-attention-span hacks took it over, and for that, I'm eternally greatful.

The Spider-Man series could very well be the first great superhero trilogy, remaining consistent in its quality and crew.

(Here's hoping Batman accomplishes the same!)

As long as it's not crammed, it's fine by me

Minimum of 2 hours and 15 minutes. If it's longer then fantastic.

I'm hoping for 2 and a half hours. That's about the right amount of time you need to cram all this story and action into a Spidey flick.

That's what I'm saying also... Spidey 3 will be the longest of them all.. I dont know how much longer, but definitly longer.
