Well... seeing as issue #1 came out today, I thought a thread about Spidey's adventures as the Human Torch replacement might be in order...

I got the Goldberg Varient... thought it looked fun...

Anyway, I'm going to sit back and read it... for those of you who already read it... feel free to discuss.

Almost picked that one up because it was my favorite, but went the traditional non-variant cover. Can't wait to read it.

Also had to pick-up X-Men.

Marvel ... finding new ways to get my money...

That is a cool cover, except that Reed's face doesn't seem to fit with the cartoony vibe.

I liked the issue, and kinda felt bad for Pete. Johnny's absence really hangs heavy, and it's not easy to be the replacement. I'm so glad that this is all going to be an issue, and that they're not going to just start having adventures together. I really like that they're dealing with Pete in their own way. And he doesn't seem out of character either.

The surprise for me was Nathaniel. I wasn't paying that much attention to him returning, but I liked his interaction this issue. I'm very curious to see the relationship between him and Pete (who is always seeking out a father figure....I doubt Nathaniel will be any different.)

Not bad... for a first issue... I haven't been keeping up with the 4 since "Heroes Reborn", so I have a few things to catch up on.. but it'll be a fun title while Peter's on board.

I also thought it was well written for a first issue.How many places can Spidey be at one time?Marvel Team-Up times 3New Avengers, Avengers and Future Foundation!!!Bring back the clones.

Honestly, I found the issue fairly interesting. It was good nonetheless, especially for a first issue. ASM 658, where Spidey joins the FF was really boring though. It was sweet and simple, but not really my taste.

Not bad... for a first issue... I haven't been keeping up with the 4 since "Heroes Reborn", so I have a few things to catch up on.. but it'll be a fun title while Peter's on board.

It is a really good book. I would say start with Hickman's run on the book and it'll catch you up on everything. He's really crafting a great story here and having Spider-Man in the fold definitely makes this title extra special for me.

Love the suit, but yeah, he sure looks like Anti-Venom 2nd edition

^^ Is the second printing out today? My local comic shop ran out of it in a matter of hours with the fist printing.
