I don't know if I'd call him cowardly.

He just went all, Mysterious Ways when they needed him....Like Odin would.

It certainly didn't paint him in a heroic light either. I'm guessing Thor got shafted because that feature was made & released in 2008 and Thor didn't have a big movie that year, so he had to take a back seat to Iron Man & Hulk, the only other big names in the feature who weren't dead.

You'd think he would've avoided that specifically because Odin f***ed him over that way on numerous occasions when he was king. I mean, learn from the sins of the father and all that, right?

Maybe he lost his humanity in that version, too.

What titles is Hank Pym in right now? I know he's in Avengers Academy, but is he going to be in Secret Avengers or is that the new Ant-Man?

They gave him the "Superman Returns" treatment.

In the universe of "Next Avengers" all the assembled Avengers except Iron Man settled down & had kids, but then most of them get killed except for Iron Man and Thor, but that's mostly because Thor had become King of Asgard - and didn't lift a finger to help out his human buddies nor did he do anything to stop Ultron from conquering the world (yeah it's one of those "you have to pretend the Fantastic Four & X-Men wouldn't have lasted against the designated big bad" deals), so Iron Man spends years raising the kids in a secret base -

Yeah it's messed up. If Mera can join Aquaman on his adventures, why can't Sif join Thor?

:doh:I agree completly.
I HATED that video for things I know couldn't have happened.

The Xmen, ALONE - even as messed up as they are wouldn't have gone out like this.

Then you have the FF, The Defenders, Doc strange,.. MEH,... There are a few heavy hitters that Ultron would've got feelings hurt.
How did he beat America, Wakanda, The INHUMAN'S???

Yeah,.. Poor premise to justify fan fantasies.

That's probably something that will not be answered before Bendis leaves the book. Simon did claim that since he was resurrected by Wanda (way back in Avengers vol 3 #3), he is still really dead and is more or less a ghost. That's the way I looked at it.

OK.
Glad to know someone had a theory,.. It makes sense.:jedi

And to justify characters who had no prior existence in the comics before getting some canon immigrant status. I mean look at this line up -

They look like they escaped from a McDonald's Happy Meal set.

Eh, it was still pretty good.

Up until the point that came out, that was probably the best Marvel DTV ever......which says more about how crappy those DTV's were than the quality of that particular DTV. :o

Yeah, I didn't think it was that bad at all.

Kind of ironic isn't it? Marvel's been doing better than DC with live action films (though there have been some undeniably bad bumps along the way) while DC does better than Marvel in the animated DTV department (and arguably has done better with animation in TV in general).

True, though marvel has improved by light years with animation. I thoroughly enjoy Avengers.

Sorry I disagree. It's almost a chore for me to keep up with the Avengers, but I anxiously wait for the next episode of Young Justice every week. Marvel's best animated show hands down was Spectacular Spider-Man.

i am new to the boards but have been asking this question in every forum i could find with no answer.
I like to place my single comics in trade paperback order; this makes it easier when reading large runs like Bendis' Ultimate spider-man and avengers.
now i want to know what the reading order of the Fear Itself Avengers hard cover is. ive seen it in stores like Midtown comics but its always wrapped up and i do not want to open it to check. and i know a lot of people said this series sucked but i want to read it since i've been reading all the avengers for a while. can someone tell me how the book is formatted please?

.....It's the main story or are you talking about all the tie ins as well?

sorry. yeah the avengers/new avengers tie-in's. not the main story. i have that hard cover already but i wanted to place the avengers/new avengers tie-ins in reading order just like the hardcover Avengers Fear Itself

I'm behind on my X-Men satellites. Has X-23 fought Daken yet?
