The Official Tagline Thread

seriously tho..i'd release 3 or 4 posters, each with a diffent tagline.
The first, faster than a speeding bullet.
the second, more powerful than a locomotive. The third, well, you get the idea.

Each poster would reflect the tagline it represents. the first, supes racing a bullet, the second, him lifting a subway or train engine to safety.
The third, a beautiful shot of him high up over the skyscrapers of metropolis, just hovering there.

I like that........if I may.

Give 'em a Norman Rockwell like appeal.

He would be holding a locomotive back as a/an(insert favorite cute animal)crosses the tracks.

A window washer on a frighteningly high scaffold stares in awe at the reflection of Superman "leaping" upwards.

Well if the whole world is basically going up in the air with the arrival of an alien,I think the tagline should simply be the quick and easy answer to those questions, that put everything in a nutshell.

"I'm Superman,and I'm here to help".

:woot:

(ment for a tv-spot)

"The greatest hero the world has ever known, is about to be reborn. The journey he takes, you take with him"

"That's one small step for man, one giant leap over a tall building in a single bound."

I like the idea of the posters paying homage to the whole, "Faster than a Speeding Bullet..." stuff. Each poster associated with a different part of the quote. However I don't know if I would actually want the words printed on the poster. Fans would get the references, the general public would just see the display of his powers.

"The best of need not be born in the Heavens, but simply learn of its ways and practice its goodness on the Earth."

"The Man of Steel never bends in the name of danger."

"Born on Another World; Made in America!"

I like the idea of using the posters to reference the old phrase. Maybe have one more of him in the middle of throwing a punch with his eyes lit up red to show that this one will have more action.

"This Chirstmas... punch something."

"Hold out for the hero in 2012"

"He loves to fly, and it shows"

"The only man in the air that earns a lower salary than an airline pilot"

"You'll see the full costume, not just a shirt-rip in the last five seconds"

"He's more than a bird, he's more than a plane"

"Superman's not CGI....we can beat that Spider-Man claim"

"Lex is bad,bold and bald"

"Lois is older, you gotta problem wit dat?"

Superman: Man of steel.
Statistically speaking, there will be No superkid drama here.

How about adding a little X-Files in the mix:

"I Want to Believe... A Man Can Fly"

"Do You Believe In Heroes?"

"Do You Believe A Man Can Fly?"

"Our Darkest Hour. Our Greatest Hero."

"Our Darkest Hour. Our Greatest Hope. Our Truest Hero."

"There Are Many Heroes... Only One is SUPER."

"Putting the SUPER Back in SuperHero"

"The First. The Greatest. The Ultimate Super Hero."

"Believe in SUPERHeroes"

'The world's greatest protector returns. Without his trunks.'

"There's The Man Made of Iron, Then There's The..."

MAN OF STEEL!

"Superman has arrived to face his greatest threat ever... THE INTERNET!!!!"

He fights for honour. He fights for your future. He fights for immortality!

:p
